Victoria Pendleton’s bridal look

After five years together, Olympic Golden girl Victoria Pendleton finally married her love Scott Gardner, and the couple chose to celebrate their wedding in the pretty walled garden of their country manor state, as an exclusive picture on HELLO! Online shows.

Here we closely examine her bridal look, including her stunning wedding dress, her sparkly shoes and the romantic wedding bouquet.

The dress and shoes

For the special occasion, Victoria chose British Designer Suzanne Neville. She went for the Duchesse dress with silk lace overlay fitted fishtail style with structure throughout the bodice and scalloped edging detail on the train. The dress can be seen on her website.

The bridal shoes were by Emmy London and she chose the Francesca design. The beautiful vintage sandal shape is fully embellished in crystal and mother of Pearl shell embroidery, made in the softest blush leather with metallic rose gold trim. Prince of the shoe is available upon request.

Millie Mackintosh’s bridal look

Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh and Professor Green have finally tied the knot! The couple married in a countryside wedding at Babington House after more than three years together, and here we examine the bride’s stunning vintage wedding look!

The dress and shoes

The Quality Street heir chose a stunning Alice Temperley ‘Bluebell’ vintage white gown with a waterfall hemline, a train and lace detailing around the shoulders. The dress had cap sleeves and perfectly showed off her stunning slim figure.

The dress is still available to purchase from the designer’s website. It belongs to the Florence bridal collection.

The Temperley Bridal Florence 2013 Collection contains a wide variety of fantasy dresses in silhouettes that celebrate the female form, resulting in a collection of dresses memories are made in. Each piece conveys an elegance and sophistication, all with the same timeless, feminine and ethereal nature that is the Temperley handwriting. Ranging from classic Grace Kelly inspired styles to more decadent 50’s Hollywood shapes; the collection is largely inspired by film noir screen sirens. The prices range from £2,950 to £4,200.

The star completed the look with sky-high Christian Louboutin peep-toe shoes in White, which retail at £625.

Hair and make-up

The bride styled her hair into a pretty pleated floral updo and topped off her look with an elegant silver watch, pearl earings and  a shoulder-length veil, which she later took off for her reception (as seen above).

Millie kept her make-up natural. She didn’t go for heavy eyeliner, and kept her look “fresh and young”, like she had previously revealed.

White, cream and pink flowers made up the bride’s bouquet, which perfectly matched her floral headpiece.

Wedding bouquets: Peonies

In amongst the excitement of planning a wedding there are a lot of tough decisions to make, and one of them is choosing the flowers that will form your bouquet.

Peony bouquets are currently a favourite for spring/summer weddings. Peonies are available from around mid May until the end of July, and although it’s possible to buy them at other times of the year, the costs are very high so it is advisable that you always use flowers within their natural season as this is when they are at their best.

Here we take a look at peony bouquets in shades of pink, blush, cream and white… choose your favourite!

White peonies are classic and romantic, absolutely breathtaking and they make a truly feminine bridal bouquet.

Add a touch of colour to your white bridal look with these pink/hot pink peony bouquets. Did you know that a peony bouquet symbolizes happy life, happy marriage, good health, and prosperity?

If you don’t want a one colour bouquet, why not mix two or even three colours like the ones above?

Finally, you can also mix peonies with other flowers to make an even more stunning bouquet. If you want a stunning pink and green bouquet like the above, just add some succulents and fuzzy leaves! Or how about some romantic daisies? You can even mix in som hydrangeas in ivory and blush.

Will you be going for a peony bouquet? What colour will you choose?

Royal Weddings: Princess Madeleine of Sweden

It has been nearly three months since Princess Madeleine of Sweden married her financier boyfriend Chris O’Neill and in the week that the couple announce they are expecting their first child together, we take a look back at the bride’s look.

The dress

Madeleine managed to keep the designer a secret until the very same day she married and it was none other than Valentino Garavani.

The stunning gown was fashioned from pleated silk organza with appliquéd ivory-hued Chantilly lace. The upper section of the bodice was lace with a deep-cut back. Narrow vertical pleats opened up from the accentuated waist, above the wide skirt, which ends with a four-metre-long train.

The princess’s incredible veil, also made from silk organza, trailed almost five metres long and it was also edged with tulle scatted with point d’esprit dots and small Chantilly lace orange blossom.

The shoes

The bride wore shoes in ivory white organdie with woven point d’esprit dots and her tiara, which is privately owned, was decorated with sprigs of orange blossom.

The bouquet

The bridal bouquet that Madeleine carried consisted of classic white garden roses: Austin roses, Schneewittchen, Winchester Cathedral and Alabaster, as well as lilies of the valley and the traditional myrtle from Sofiero. All the flowers were white, and the bouquet was tied into a round shape.

 Hair and make-up

Madeleine wore her hair swept back from her face in a simple elegant chignon. The low bun was held in place by her royal tiara, which was decorated with a delicate garland of fresh orange blossoms.

Her make-up was flawless, a natural complexion appeared to have been achieved through pared-down foundation and bronzer, while several layers of mascara framed her eyes. For her lips, she chose a dark pink lipstick.

The modern fringe tiara was the chosen by the bride. It is dotted on the top with round diamonds and sits on a base accented with a line of diamonds. Like many fringe tiaras, it can be removed from its frame and used as a necklace.  To her diamond tiara, Madeleine added large diamond drop earrings from the Bernadotte collection and a diamond bracelet.

What did you think of Madeleine wedding look? What was your favourite detail?

Wedding make-up inspiration: Natural look

I love brides who stay true to themselves on their wedding day. A recent example of this is Princess Caroline‘s daughter-in-law Tatiana Santo Domingo, who ditched a traditional wedding dress and heels for a chic Missoni gown and flat sandals (we will examine her wedding look soon). By staying true to yourself I do not mean going natural, every bride has a signature look, I, for example, ALWAYS wear eyeliner and if I didn’t wear it for my big day I would feel naked!

Although I am still not sure what make-up I will go for on my special day,  I have put together a selection of natural make-up looks to inspire future brides.

I love the looks above, Poppy Delevingne, Gwyneth Paltrow, Anna Friel and Doutzen Kroes look flawless. If this is the look you want for you big day, you just need some face primer and a cheek highlighter to give you that extra glow.

These looks are more up my street. I specially love Gisele Bundchen and Michelle Williams‘s. Too achieve these looks you can use the products mentioned above and add a nice shoft blusher and mascara and eyeliner.

These four looks are similar to the first ones I showed you, but I chose them because they show what type of lipstick/gloss you can combine with a natural look.  Soft pink colours go perfectly, you can opt for a soft lip gloss, like Dakota Fanning, or pink lipstick, like Nicole Kidman.

Which one is your favourite look? What kind of make-up will you be going for on your special day?

Celebrity inspired wedding guest: Charlotte Casiraghi

Whenever I know that I have a wedding coming up I start to look at different celebrities for inspiration. I have a few fave celebs, but Charlotte Casiraghi is definitely my NUMBER ONE choice for inspiration.

I love her style, whether it is for a fashion show, a wedding or a royal event, she looks perfect in every way.

Here I have gathered some of my favourite looks to help any mystery readers who are in search of inspirations!

The looks above are perfect for morning weddings, they are the perfect length and the colour is ideal if you have a nice soft tan. In the picture on the left, Charlotte is attending her uncle Prince Albert’s wedding to Charlene.

I LOVE the choices above. I have to say I prefer evening weddings to morning ones, I just love love love wearing long dresses. For SURE my wedding will be an evening one, can’t wait to see ALL my girl friends in stunning long gowns!!

My favourite of the three above has to be the third dress, a stunning Giambattista Valli dress in Princess Grace blue.

Here I have chosen a bit of everything, but all in the same colour, grey. The middle one is lovely for a winter wedding. I once went to a winter wedding and I have to say that I had no idea what to wear. I actually ended up wearing long black trousers and it is one of by biggest fashion regrets!

Charlotte rocked both these Gucci green dresses, the one of the left for a fashion event and the one on the right for the Cannes Film Festival. She knows how to choose right, doesn’t she?

My last choices are the most informal ones of all. Some weddings don’t require the guests to go too over the top, such as civil weddings, and I think these choice are perfect. The one on the left is ideal for the spring/summer season and the one on the right for autumn/winter.

Which one is your favourite choice?
