Its Hospital bag time!
So I’m just over 38 weeks pregnant and I thought I’d better start packing my hospital bag! Time just flies by, especially when you have a toddler to run around after!
I’m lucky to have most things already as I kept pretty much everything from when Nico was born but I have got a few new things that I’m very excited to use!
First is the gorgeous new baby changing bag that I have, its by Bow & Rattle and I opted for the Jenny back pack. Its crafted from exquisite vegan fabric and they have the most lovely colours. I have the neutral mushroom as it will be sure to go with any outfit that I wear. I also have a few prams and this will go with each of them.
The Bow & Rattle Jenny Baby Changing Backpack £125
Its super practical with four external pockets for those little things that you may need to get to more often and tons of room with zipped pouches inside. It also comes with a stylish zipper pouch with the words ‘Hello Mama” printed on in gold. Absolutely love it! This bag will definitely be used for years beyond needing a baby changing bag!
I’ll use the Jenny back pack to take all of the baby bits that I’ll need.
Whats going inside….?
As I don’t know the sex of the baby I have just got some John Lewis plain white baby grows, scratch mittens, little hats and booties! I’m sure once its born I’ll have lots of blue or pink outfits coming my way!
A classic swaddle from Aden + Anais is a staple, they are so versatile and I think its just a good idea to always have one in the bag! Whether its to swaddle the baby, use as a giant muslin or wrap myself in, they are great! I’ve got the new Harry Potter collection, its super cute and ok for boy or girl. I love everything Aden + Anais do, the sleeping bags are just the best too! Definitely a fav brand of mine.
I will also be taking the Silky Tots head support to use in the car seat when we travel home from the hospital. This product is such an amazing idea, Silky Tots created this head support for use in seats, prams and bouncers. Made from soft mulberry silk and eucalyptus fibres the incredibly luxurious head support will keep baby’s hair soft and tangle free allowing it to glide across the surface.

To keep baby’s skin kissably soft I’ll be using the beautiful products from Little Butterfly. I’ll also be continuing to use the Stretch Mark butter on my sightly deflated (hopefully) bump! Its a sumptuous cream for the bump and body containing mango, cacao & shea, among other delicious ingredients, to keep skin deeply nourished and supple. Little Butterfly describe it as a “cocoon of bliss’ and it certainly is. A product that I’ll possibly continue to use way after pregnancy.
Once again I’ll be giving birth at the prestigious Portland Hospital which I am truly grateful for. The staff there cannot do enough for you and make you feel at such ease. Due to my Lupus I feel tired a lot of the time so after a baby I know I’ll feel even more so. To have such experienced staff on hand is totally reassuring. I’m blessed.
I will be sure to report back soon on what. I have and how I’m coping with 2 kids!! Arrrhhhh, no I’m sure it’ll be fine, its just about getting. into that routine…..I’ll be taking my Gina Ford books in. with me! ha!
