This Week’s Obsession:

Rockins Denim

Rockins Denim – which launched on Matches Fashion during London Fashion Week – is my new fashion crush. Very edgy and very rock’n’roll, this is pure denim made how it used to be with no added stretch or Lycra. Jeans, jackets and waistcoats – it’s all really great, sturdy denim that pulls everything in, in all the right places. I’m currently eyeing up a pair of black boot-cut jeans that I know I would wear time and time again.

This nourishing milk from Bobbi Brown is fantastic for an extra shot of moisture during these chilly months. It really plumps up cheeks and it smells gorgeous. You can wear it on its own or under your normal moisturiser for an extra boost.

If my Dyson hairdryer lasts for as long as my Dyson vacuum cleaner has, it will be a very good buy. This hairdryer is amazing. It is so liberating blow-drying your hair with something so light yet powerful. It really does make all previous hairdryers seem prehistoric. This would be a great Christmas present or a well-deserved treat for anyone who gets hairdryer elbow.

This Week’s Arm Candy

I spotted this gorgeous handbag on none other than Hello!’s editor in chief Rosie Nixon and after further investigation discovered it was by London-based label Peonica. The range is full of hearts, stars and tassels, but the best buys are the clip-on fur bag charms and key rings. I bought my daughter a bag and a bunny charm for her birthday and they have been a huge hit. Thank you, Rosie!

As depressing as the weather is, it still hasn’t put me off outdoor pursuits – but it has made me realise that my activity gear needs a style injection. For my next outing, I’ve kitted myself out with a lovely lightweight coat, some trousers and a rucksack from Swedish label Fjällräven. I particularly like the new version of the brand’s cult backpack, made from recycled plastic bottles. The hot-pink number will make you stand out on a hillside.

The whole family came together for my sister Francesca’s wedding in Northumberland. Lots of food, drink, dancing – and big smiles. The bride looked sensational, as did her bridesmaids, all dressed by TH&TH. As maid of honour I teamed my skirt with a Catherine Walker jacket and Prada shirt.
