A gift isn’t a measure of how much somebody loves you. Ah who am I kidding, a good gift says it all, so if you’re feeling greedy and want a present this Valentine’s Day, why not ask for an alluring scent? My favourite fragrances at the moment are Rosie by Orla Kiely, Neon by Superdry, and Sparkle in Paris by Oriflame, all of which come in very cool bottles.
Rosie, a 100ml limited edition Eau De Toilette by Orla Kiely, combines notes of natural rose, coriander and mandarin with black pepper, nutmeg and cedarwood. It has a rich, woody scent which smells truly irresistible once it’s settled on your skin. Available for £42 at orlakiely.com.
Neon by Superdry has a sharper, zestier scent and includes ingredients such as fresh figs, green leaves, lily of the valley, coconut, and musks. Available to buy for £35 from superdry.com. For beauty on a budget though, I thoroughly recommend Sparkle in Paris by Oriflame.
You’d be easily forgiven for mistaking this luxurious scent for something far more expensive, but it only costs £10.95 from gb.oriflame.com (currently reduced from £15.95). I’ve worked my way through one bottle already, and every time I’ve worn the Eau de Toilette I’ve received compliments on its scent! A real beauty bargain that’s not to be missed.
