Dublin, Spain… a busy three weeks!

Hello readers,
Well I did it again!! I didn’t keep up with my blog and now I have three weeks to fill you in on! Don’t
worry I will make this picture and fashion heavy…I shall start from three weeks ago until this week,
to be honest I don’t lead all that interesting a life so I probably need three weeks to make up a
good blog anyway!

My Week

I had a super busy week this week that involved a lot of travelling which I seem to be doing a lot of
the past year. On Monday I headed home to Dublin for the first time in about six weeks so it was
lovely to get back even for just a day. I was home to host the L’Oreal Colour Trophy awards, it was
honestly one of the best events I have ever been to. I went last year but just at the end to dj so I’m
glad I got to see the whole show this year. The talent in the room was just amazing, they had two
stage shows and honestly if you have never seen one you should look them up on YouTube I was
blown away. On Tuesday I had work in the morning for Therapie clinic, I’m part of their squad and
they are giving away 5,000 euros worth of treatments so check out their website to see how you
can win. After that I had a production meeting for my new series with RTE, I’m doing three new
episodes and I am so excited to get started. I flew back top London on Tuesday night and ended
up having a few drinks, big mistake! I was looking at new apartments all day on Wednesday as I’m
moving in November, it would have been a lot more fun had my head not been so sore! On
Thursday I had meetings in London and then I went to Liverpool as I’m hosting a day up there for
The British Style Council. The whole show was amazing, I was hosting the main stage in the Echo
Arena on Friday which was amazing, I’m really enjoying hosting all of these live events lately, I
hosted two on Friday as well as being a part of two live fashion discussions in one of the other
halls. I met my friend Stef who worked on the Jump and was working on this event too se we had a
really fun day, we even had time to get dinner together before I got my train back to London.
Saturday was another really fun day, I started off with a walk with my dog, Winston and then did
some training before getting ready for Wimbledon. I went to Wimbledon last year and I just love the
atmosphere there, I got to watch a game on centre court and then I was on a show called
Wimblewatch. After that it was back into London to go out for a friend’s birthday. I am hoping to
spend the day in the park on Sunday sunbathing so fingers crossed the weather holds out. I’m also
putting the very final touches to my book before it goes to print which is the most exciting thing

Another week down, where is the summer going! I feel like every summer I work a crazy amount
but I do have to admit a lot of it is for fun jobs. This week started out with a shoot on Monday and
then some meetings. On Tuesday I finally completed my book, it is now officially out of my hands
and ready to go to print. I’m so excited for everyone to read it, I always wanted to write a book and I
feel like I’ve achieved one of my dreams. I must say it was a lot more difficult than I had ever
imagined, I was totally naïve going into it but I’m delighted its finished and its exactly how I want it
to be. I got to go to Madame Tussauds for the first time in London, it was for their new alien
invasion area. I loved it, some of the wax works are incredible although I would be slightly raging if
I was Britney Spears! I came back to Dublin on Thursday with Spencer and we spent the day with
my family. On Friday it was Longitude time, I absolutely love a festival and I was doing for
Desperados down there which was brilliant. DJing at a festival is always good because everyone is
in the best mood ever. We didn’t stay very long after my set as we flew to Spain on Saturday
morning to attend the Global Gift Gala which I shall tell you all about next week as this piece will be
going to print when I arrive!

My Week

On Monday I very reluctantly flew home from Spain, we only had two days there and in those two
days I’ve decided I need to book a really fun holiday. Spencer and I have four days in August and I
want to go somewhere amazing so if you have any recommendations tweet me, it has to be warm
though!! I left off last week on Friday where I was djing at Longitude and I honestly had one of the
best sets of my life. The crowd were just amazing and I loved having Spencer there to cheer me
on. I don’t dj as much as I used to anymore but I think I’m going to make more time for it because I
really do love doing it. I played a dance set which was perfect for the Longitude vibe although I am
OBSESSED with Grime music so it takes everything in me not to slip in a Grime track! My cousin
and her boyfriend came to meet us at Longitude, we had to leave at 7.30 though as we had a flight
the next day. It was Spain bound for us with slightly sore heads that were soon fixed by the fry up
in Dublin airport which is an absolute winner! The weather wasn’t great on Saturday in Spain and
the airline had lost my bag so I had nothing to wear but the tracksuit I arrived in and missed the
party on the Saturday night. Luckily my friend Virginia Macari who is an incredible swimwear
designer sent me over some bikinis so I was able to hit the beach with my mum on Sunday. My
stepdad and two of their friends joined us for lunch at the beach and it was Spencers first time
meeting Neil and he went down very well! I’m a big family person and so is Spencer so it’s important
to us that everyone meets each other. After the beach we went home to get ready for the Global
Gift Gala………..

I wore a dress by the one and only Paul Costelloe, I absolutely love his designs and I wear his stuff
as often as I can.
Even though I wanted to stay in Spain a little longer I was super excited to get back to Dublin
because on Monday I started filming for my new series of docs. I’m more involved in this series
than I ever have been and already it’s shaping up to be incredible. I spent the rest of the week in
Denmark filming for my new series. It was incredibly insightful and I cannot wait for everyone to
watch this new Doc, I think it will answer a lot of questions for people. I went home to Howth on
Saturday and I plan on spending the whole weekend relaxing with my family and friends, it will be
nice to get a couple of days off.

Beauty Treatment
I got a beauty treatment that I have been wanting to try for ages recently. I have always wanted to
try make up tattooing but it was only when my friend got it done I was brave enough to try it. Turns
out I had absolutely nothing to be worried about! I went to see Tracie Giles to get my eyebrows and
lips tattooed, now I know this sounds intense but It really isn’t. They are amazing in Tracie Giles
and if you are planning on getting the treatment done I would definitely recommend them. I had to
get the treatment done twice and at six weeks apart so you get the desired results. I had no
swelling or scabbing and the results were so good. I don’t need to bother filling in my eyebrows or
applying my lip liner and its super handy on days when I cant be bothered with make up!!

I hope you all have a lovely week,
