This week was a little bit mad, I had a lot on with early starts and late nights so I couldn’t wait to spend the whole day on Sunday doing nothing! Well I did go for a walk, the gym and then for a roast with my friends but it was a nice chilled day. We also got our Christmas tree at home so my flatmates and I put it up and then watched Christmas movies! On Monday I started training for The Jump – we train on a little ski slope about 45 minutes from my house. I had to get up at 4.30am every day. I went training but I’m really enjoying it so I don’t mind the early starts. A lot of people think I’m mad taking part in The Jump because there were quite a few injuries on last year’s show. I have wanted to go on the show for years now and I was delighted to be asked to do take part. I go snowboarding every year so it’s pretty much going to feel like a big holiday for me. I have skied before but not for a few years. I am quite confident and we have a great instructor teaching us so by the end of the six weeks I think I’ll be pretty good. I forgot how tiring it is though, my legs feel like jelly after each training session but I already can’t wait for next week.
On Tuesday I had more ski training in the morning and then in the evening I was DJing at the Faberge event. It was a really cool event on the 39th floor of a building in central London. The views were incredible and it turns out they’re selling the apartment for 20 million – imagine spending that much on an apartment! I mean it was nice but not 20 million nice! I wore a gorgeous dress from Spotted on Celeb and boots from Cari’s Closet, the girls from Secret Spa did my hair and make-up.
On Wednesday I had ski training again in the morning, then went home and took my dog Winston for a walk. After that I was DJing for my friend Nick Ede who runs a night called Style For Stroke.
I try my best to support the Stroke Foundation any chance I get and I really enjoyed the event. I wore a gorgeous dress from Peggy Hartanto, she’s a really cool designer that I found recently and I wore my Sophia Webster shoes that I actually forgot about so now I never take them off!
After that I had to rush off to The Pride of Sport awards where I was presenting an award. I was presenting with goalkeeper David Seaman who was really lovely and possibly had the biggest hands I’ve ever seen! I was presenting it to a young boy who had raised 300,000 pounds for charity, he was only 9 when he started fundraising and was very deserving of the award. I wore another dress from Spotted on Celeb to that event with shoes from River Island and make up again by the amazing Secret Spa.
On Thursday I had a lie in until 7am which was the dream! I went training and then it was straight into hair and make-up as I was off to The Crabtree and Evelyn store on Regents Street for an event. I loved my outfit that day, it was an amazing coat from one of my favourite labels Grace and Oliver.
I have a slight addiction to coats and they do so many beautiful ones. I only found the label last year and already have four of their coats. My boots were from Dune which are the comfiest boots ever and a pair of over the knee boots that actually don’t fall down! My hoody was from H&M, I did have shorts on under the hoody but you couldn’t really see them! I went to see one of my favourite grime artist’s gig on Thursday evening with my pal Ricky. I hadn’t been to a gig in so long and we had so much fun, Casisdead was really good live too. I have to say I woke up with a pretty sore head on Friday morning but Ricky and I were going to Liverpool for a big charity event with very.co.uk.
After a couple of hours’ sleep on the train up we were brand new… well, sort of! We may have had another few hours’ sleep when we got to the hotel so we were all good to go to the event. It was on in the Echo arena in Liverpool, it was a lovely sit down meal and all the girls we were with were so lovely.
Look of the Week
I fell in love with this look from Littlewoods Ireland, I have been shopping the V by Very range quite a lot lately. They have some amazing pieces and it’s at a really good price point too. The whole look is in the V by Very range, I particularly love the oversized faux fur parka. It’s a really cosy jacket and the black faux fur makes it way more glam. The leather dress is great and looks lovely with tights and heels too. I think over the knee boots are just as popular this year as they were last year, I have them in three colours.
I have written quite a lot about my skin over the last while. I know my skin looks good but it’s because I wear make-up, I actually have quite bad skin at the moment and have been on prescribed tablets for it for the last while. I have been getting a lot of peels and last week when I was at home I got a really good acne peel and then had light therapy in The Renaissance Clinic in Howth. I have noticed a huge difference and have booked for another one before I go to Spain for Christmas. They put me on different creams and serums as well as great cleansers that I have been using religiously.
I got to train with my trainer Maya Saffronhan when I was in London last week. I love the workouts we do together, and this one is a total winner and an all over body workout that’s easy to follow. I wore my new Varley gym gear from Very Exclusive, they have the most amazing gym gear, great for Christmas presents!!
