Lovely to see that even celebs with 10s of 1000s of followers actually enjoy the direct feedback. Not only that but enjoy getting an interesting discussion going.
That’s completely different than how I imagine it (the image of Beetles running from screaming fans is stuck in my head).
Informative, and so nice to see how down to earth your interviews are.

I agree to about celebrities being able to get their own message out on Twitter without the media making stuff up. It also puts everyone on a more even level so there is better communication. They come across as real people with normal lives. A lovely interview indeed. Well done.

A really lovely insight Maria. A shame they’re not really doing ‘I’m a Celebrity’ – a jungle breakfast show would be an interesting twist and a nice change from people eating witchety grubs. Yuk!

Great article Maria – well done. It is interesting and encouraging to read about celebrities using Twitter to keep in touch with their fan base and to receive feedback. One of the things I like about Twitter is that, no matter who you are, you have only 140 characters to express yourself. In that sense Twitter is a great ‘leveller’. Kudos to the likes of @EamonnHolmes and @Ruthieel who use their Twitter ‘soundbites’ to give us a glimpse of themselves beyond the veneer of fame and celebrity.
