Burberry biker jacket

Anyone who follows me on Instagram might be aware that I got a Burberry leather jacket – I might have mentioned it once or twice (or more).

I’m not sure I’ve ever loved a piece of clothing so much – it hasn’t been off my body since I got it.

Cropped

I’m a bit obsessed with this crop top – it’s super flattering and means you can get dressed up without actually putting a dress on (I’m not a dress fan).

Rediscovery

Last weekend I decided I’d had enough of my Michael Kors bag so started to root through my old handbags and found this Mulberry beauty! Cannot believe I’d forgotten about it.

Double denim

When I was 12 I spent six months begging my parents to let me have a full-length DKNY denim coat from their shop. I got it for Christmas, cried with happiness and stood in front of the mirror admiring it for most of the day.

What I’m getting at is that I LOVE denim, so the fact that 2014 is all about denim makes me very happy.

Jumpsuit

Just FYI – it’s day two of my three-day juice detox with Purifyne Cleanse. Yesterday was hell – it involved a goodbye lunch for my colleague Sophie at Byron, of all places – but I lost three pounds during the night and today I feel good.

Anyway… I bought this strapless, drop-waist jumpsuit from Missguided last year. It has a white racing stripe down the side and I love wearing with my battered old black Converse.

London Collections: Men is well underway and we’re seeing all kinds of weird and wacky male outfits – platform boots, anyone? – hit the runway.

But what’s your ultimate look for a man? I think this guy is pretty cool… I love double-breasted jackets. I’m also a fan of denim shirts, leather jackets, checked shirts and grey jumpers… In fact, anything grey. Men seriously suit grey.  mann

Paris

When I was 20, I spent one year in Paris doing a fashion internships and dedicated most of my Saturdays there to trawling vintage shops in Le Marais.

Most of my finds were hideous – a velvet floral prom dress stands out – and some never even made it back to Britain, but this denim shirt emblazoned with Minnie Mouse playing golf that I paid €1 for has stood the test of time. mickey

Covering up

I’ve had a mega indulgent Christmas and am on a diet until further notice (ideally August). Around 98% of my wardrobe doesn’t fit me right now so for the foreseeable future I will be covering up in big, baggy jumpers like this monochrome one from Zara. Fear not, though – I will endeavor to make big, baggy jumpers as interesting as possible for the purposes of this style diary.

Getting the skinny jeans on was quite trying but they’re helping me not want to eat today by restricting most feeling around the stomach area.

Hope you all had a good one!Untitled-2
