I’ve always wanted a pair of silver court shoes but somehow never got round to getting any… So when Rainbow Club asked me to design my own pair of heels I chose these.
I love them with skinny ripped jeans and they’ll be great with my grey pencil skirt with black lace trim.
We all need a pair of statement heels — ones that jazz up an otherwise plain outfit — and these are mine.
I wore them for my friend Alex’s beautiful wedding and managed to survive the whole day without changing into the ballet pumps I had folded up inside my clutch bag.
I’ve always loved leopard print. When I was 15, I saved up for quite some time to buy a massive Juicy Couture leopard print faux fur coat that I wore everywhere… It was so big you could barely see me in it but I was convinced it was the best thing I would ever own.
Fast forward ten years and I’m now sporting this sleeker, more sophisticated version with black panels and a leather collar.
Last weekend I discovered that this scarf actually doubles as a cape — though I had to ignore strong disapproval from my housemates (I live with three boys). Anyway, another post on that soon.
I love throwing this scarf over my usual uniform of black, white and grey as a way to subtly add print.
As you will come to find out, I have a thing for boots. I don’t dare to count but I reckon I must own upwards of thirty pairs. Ankle, to the knee and thigh-high – you name it, I’ve got it.
These are, however, my current favourites. Anything involving leather, zips and buckles is a winner for me and this pair from Jones Bootmaker tick all boxes.
I’m Alexandra Light, HELLO! Online’s twenty-something clothes-obsessed fashion editor. Here I’ll be posting regular pictures of my outfit of the day — or #ootd for any hashtag aficionados among you — and giving you an inside glimpse into the best events in London’s style calendar. I hope you enjoy!
