I watched our local Police service practicing driving in convoy with 20+ motorcycle out-riders just this past week, here in Calgary, in preparation for the arrival of our Royal guests next week. Estimated attendance at the Calgary Stampede parade on July 8th is way up on what it normally is…everyone is anxious for a glimpse of the Royal couple as they so a pre-parade procession along the parade route. I think I’ll watch on TV though to avoid the throng! And I agree with the above posters too…don’t attempt to compare Catherine to Diana…it’an insult to both of them

I have to say I agree with Maureen. Diana is dead and let’s let her be. The Duchess of Cambridge is her own person and to compare her to Diana is to do a dis-service to both women. I’m very eager to see how this tour pans out and will read every word I can get my hands on but it’s William and Kate I want to read about. Let’s leave two people in THIS marriage, please.

During this tour, please try not to compare the Duchess to Diana, to Diana’s detriment. That seems to be the new popular trend but believe me, it’s NOT popular with most poeple who follow William’s life. As William said they are not the same person nor are the times or circumstances remotely similar so, I look forward to your blog but leave the comments about Diana off the table. Thank you,
