Ashley’s Aladdin in our dance this week and he’s loving it

I’ve been very busy this week, it’s always busy on Strictly!

This week is musicals week and we’re dancing a Rumba as Aladdin and Princess Jasmine to A Whole New World. I was quite worried about the Rumba at first, but actually I’m liking it now, I think it’s good and we’ve had a lot of fun.

It’s one of the slowest dances so it’s hard to make it look good if that makes sense.

I’m dressing as Princess Jasmine. I’m not sure if we have black wig or not yet, it depends what it looks like on the night. There’s one that’s been prepared for me but I’m not sure if I’m going to wear it.

I’ve got blue pants like the ones Jasmine has in the film. It’s going to be quite cute!

Ashley is Aladdin and he’s loving it! It suits him because he’s like a kid, you can imagine, he’s cheeky and fun.

I don’t know what the others have been up to in detail but they’re all looking really good. They looked very good in rehearsals on Friday. We just have to pray that we stay in the competition.

Controlling your nerves is my best piece of advice. Nerves can get the better of you and take over. Ashley gets really nervous.

Even for me it’s still very hard. I still get nervous, even after ages on the show it’s definitely not getting any easier!

I do always make sure that my shoes are not slippery. That’s the worst thing that can happen.

Cleaning the bottom of my shoes is always the thing I do before going out to dance.

After the show I have a cheeky glass of wine to relax, just one a week though, I’m not allowed any more!

I’ve been watching Vincent on I’m A Celeb. I’ve been working a lot at night but I have been watching it online.

I love Vincent! I’m still backing him to win.I’m also getting excited for Christmas.

When I’m in Liverpool waiting for Ashley to finish work I go around the shops and it’s so Christmassy!I’m slightly panicking that my Christmas shopping isn’t done yet though – it’s not good!

There is a Christmas special of Strictly. I don’t know what I’m allowed to say about the details of the show but it’s going to be fabulous – it always is.

I won the Christmas special last year! I’m not actually involved in this one because I’m still in the competition but I’m sure there’ll be another fantastic winner.

There are four Saturdays left in the competition and Ashley and I have had quite good marks so far.

Last week we were second on the leader board which was absolutely fantastic but the competition is getting hard.

It depends what dance you have it depends what everyone else is dancing you really don’t know what’s going to happen!

I’d put money on Vincent Simone to win I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here

I’ve had a very good week this week, training has been going really well.

We were so happy with the show last week, it was really funny to see Ashley dressed as a cowboy!

Ashley’s Paso Doble was one of the best Pasos a male celebrity has ever done on the show and I think it’s a shame that the judges didn’t mention that.

I was really proud of him and he’s really improving this week, we’ve got the Viennese Waltz so it’s going to be nice and romantic.

I’ll be wearing a lovely, light pink dress. We’re hoping it’s going to be a beautiful dance, gliding across the floor.

Ashely’s no longer just a ‘ballroom boy’. I don’t think he initially loved doing the Paso but then by the end of the week he absolutely loved it and he wanted to do it again and again.

We were all upset about the thefts that happened while we were in Blackpool, it really wasn’t nice at all.

Some of the celebrities got things stolen from their dressing rooms although thankfully my phone was packed away in my bag and I didn’t have my wallet on me so that was lucky, but it was such a shame for the others.

It was also really sad to see Fiona and Anton go.

Anton’s so lovely I always like to be doing the show with him, he’s so funny. It was a shame they went but I think they were okay with it. It’s always a shame, whoever goes.

This week I’ve seen that Vincent Simone is going on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

I wouldn’t rule out going on I’m A Celeb but I don’t know if I’d be very good with the creepy crawlies and when they eat that all the horrible stuff – I don’t know if I could do it.

Vincent’s not going to be able to do it either! But he’ll be really funny, people are going to love him so he’ll be really good for the show.

I want him to prove me wrong but I don’t think he can do it.

I wish him luck though, he’s lovely, I love Vincent. I would put money on him to win because people will love him.

Ashley took me to visit the Hollyoaks set

Thanks so much for all your support during Halloween week – we loved it.

This week Ashley took me to the Hollyoaks set – so I got to go in the pub and café where they film.  I  got a kiss from Danny Mac, who is a hottie, so I have been boasting about that!

Ashley and I are dancing a quickstep to the Jet’s Are You Going To Be My Girl.

It’s a full on dance  – that you need a lot of energy. It’s killing us both! He calls me his little Polish Angel Monster!

You really feel like you have lost a lot of  weight after a couple of hours training. I tweeted a picture of Ashley  having some junk food this week. We do try to eat as healthy as you can, but especially for a guy, they need to  eat.

Ashley stole my phone when I was doing an interview this week and wrote a tweet from my phone saying, “I must admit @ashoztd has taught me so much about dancing! I thought @The_JamesJordan was good but he’s got nothing on Ash! #sadbuttrue! will make sure I have my revenge after that!

I was really sad to see Rachel Riley voted off  last week, we got on really well.

The competition is so good this year. I think Sophie and Natalie will do really well, and no-one really talks about it, but I think Susana Reid is the dark horse of the competition. I think she’s one to watch.

Thanks for voting for us – I hope we are doing you proud!

I’m the monster in our special Halloween dance

Poor Artem had his nose accidentally broken by Natalie in rehearsals last week. It happens to us all – I did the same to James last year.

I’m actually covered in bruises because Ashley keeps kicking me all the time! His knees keep knocking into my knees when we dance, so they are covered in bruises. But it is all part of the job!

We’re dancing a tango to Ne-Yo’s Beautiful Monster this week – and I’m going to be the monster.

I can’t wait to get my hair and make-up done by our amazing team. I’m hoping for coloured contact lenses.

We’ve got a celebrity group dance as well as a professional group dance this week, so there’s a lot to remember.

We rehearsed all our professional group dances back in August, so then we have a refresher lesson every Monday.

Don’t get me wrong, sometimes we’ll turn up for Friday rehearsals at Elstree studios and can’t remember what we did on a Monday. We just have so much to store in our brains and our priority is always our celebrity dance.

We were all really sad to see Deborah Meaden and Robin Windsor voted off last week. You could see how much Deborah enjoyed every single minute of training and dancing.

It’s always a bittersweet moment – you’re happy to go through, but really sad for them as well.
