Think pink, heavy embellishment, halter necks and mullet wedding dresses!

 Pink

Judging by designers such as Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier or Jenny Lee, pink is the new white. Celebrity brides such as Jessica Biel and Anne Hathaway have already embraced this trend. Will you?

Strapless has been the go-to neckline for quite a while now, but these days, it seems that lace illusion necklines are making a play for the top spot. See the best examples from Anne Barge, Jenny Packham and Christos.

Gold detailing

Although silver is still the most popular accessory, gold seems to be featuring more every year. Romona Keveza RTW even included a gold wedding dress on her Fall collection, as seen below. Badgley Mischka and Jenny Packham kept it more subtle.

Swooning over Marchesa

When talking about weddings, there is so much to cover. After putting a lot of thought into what my first post was going to be about, I have finally decided to show you the wedding dresses from the new bridal collection by Marchesa. I came upon it last week and since then I am swooning over the breathtaking gowns.

Adorned with cascading petals of silk chiffon blended along with delicate pearl scallops and intricate lace detailing, the 21-piece collection is immaculate.

From traditional long gowns and flirty shorts to tea length styles, Marchesa has thought of everything for this season’s bride.

Have a look at some of my favourite pieces from the collection:

Ball gown beauty
Clouds and clouds of tulle make these two dresses my top choices.

Mermaid elegance
The ethereal collection, inspired by the architectural iris and romantic Bulgarian Rose, features scalloped Chantilly lace

Keeping it short and sweet
Designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig spiced up their short versions with floral details, saturating them in romantic detail

What do you think? Are you a fan of long or short wedding dresses? Fitted or flowing?
