My Lipsy London collection has finally launched!

Hurray!!! My first ever collection with Lipsy London has finally launched! At the time I am typing this (now back in Manchester and having a very lazy night in with Phoebe and Pip) the feedback so far has been really positive and the range is selling well. In fact, some of the pieces have even sold out already! Thank you to everyone who has supported me, and like the clothes! It means ALOT!

image7

This week has been a real whirlwind. I was already down in Essex and had my third photoshoot with Lipsy on the Tuesday. It was a beautifully decorated home in Maida Vale and I got a lot of style inspiration for my own (new) home from it.

image6

It was for the third wave of the Autumn/Winter collection and this one contains lots of party dresses, knits and coats. My favourite piece is a floor length black dress. Perfect for a Christmas ball or works do! As soon as I can show you a sneaky piccy I will!

image3

I worked with two new creatives on this shoot: the lovely Caroline Barnes for my make-up and Ben Cooke for hair.

They have worked with a lot of great ladies like Cheryl Cole, Victoria Beckham and Nicole Scherzinger so it was fab to have them on board. Ben introduced me to these fab hair products which are Tamara Ecclestone’s new venture.

image5

I LOVED the style of packaging, the bottles were suprsingly heavy, and the actual product was great on my hair – these I loved the best : SHOW Divine Thickening Lotion and the SHOW Finishing Spray. It’s not a cheap brand by any means (around £30-£40 a bottle, so maybe best if you are a professional or it’s a present for someone?), but you pay for the feminine and luxury bottles, and the product.

tam

Caroline used these products on me and I was very impressed with them, so I begged her to give them to me after for my own make-up bag (thanks Caroline!) Max Factor Black False Lash effect (and as I had taken my lash extensions off, I really needed this for extra oomph!) and this Bobbi Brown eyeliner. It’s great for a precise, smooth eyeline and it goes on really easily.

image4

The following morning I had some hair extensions fitted (I was really missing the thickness in my hair so decided to get some for summer) at the great Inanch in London.

michelle-new

Then later on that day I went to Ben’s salon across the city to get some sun kissed highlights in my hair. I had been thinking about it for a while, and have never had my hair lightened before so I’m not gonna lie I did feel a bit apprehensive, but I love it and think it’s very subtle and gives my hair a bit more texture and shine :-)

image10

Here’s me in the salon with Sophie the colourist and Ben …

image8

I have got some of this Philip Kinglsey to look after my hair and keep it in good condition. It’s extra important when you colour your hair or get extensions.

image11

I also use this supplement from www.myvitamins.com – the thicker, fuller hair bundle which contains Vit B complex Vit C Zinc and a combination of minerals that concentrate on hair growth and strength. Nioxin Diaboost is also a quality product when you have or have had hair extensions. It contains Panthenol and other good stuff which makes your hair feel thicker, especially at the roots.

nioxindia

After my morning of pampering, I hot footed it over to the very swanky Sanderson Hotel for a catch up with my pal Sandy – of Sandy Bay London fame – if you don’t know – she makes THE MOST amazing luxury candles. www.sandybaylondon.com. She gave me some for my new home as a moving in present – they smell so amazing and the candles last for a long time. (Oriental Jasmine is my new fave)

image1

It wasn’t long until it was time to get ready for the launch of my Lipsy London collection. The event was held in the boutique style Rosewood Hotel across London. I did one to one interviews with some very aspirational and cool fashion bloggers, mingled with buyers and the press and had a really good time aside. Some lovely ladies actually came wearing my dresses which was SUCH a proud moment for me as they all looked GORGEOUS!

The following morning the collection launched round the country so my team and I had an early start, I must admit I didn’t find it easy getting up in that morning! We visited various radio stations – here’s me with Lucie Cave from Heat, she’s so much fun and I loved our chat, and I also did a fashion based ‘ask Michelle’ on Twitter later on in the day, which went really well too.

image2

After this is was back up to Manchester on the train, where I slept the whole train journey! What can I say, a girl needs her beauty sleep :-)

Until next week

Lots of love Michelle xxx

‘Rome with Mark and my first ever calendar!’

I’ve spent most of the last week or so abroad, my feet have barely touched UK soil!

Firstly I will pick up from last week and my surprise trip to Rome. Mark knows I have always wanted to visit Rome.

Mark and I in Rome (with sore feet!)

Mark and I in Rome (with sore feet!)

I love a bit of culture and history! We left England VERY early in the morning, Mark checked us in so that I didn’t know where we were headed, I was convinced it was Paris and there was a flight leaving around the same time as the Rome one so it wasn’t until we had to go to the aeroplane that I sussed where we were going.

The actual Coliseum!

The actual Coliseum!

We ate lots, especially Italian ice cream (yum), visited the Vatican which was absolutely stunning and went to the Coliseum the following day.

English tourist in Rome

We must have walked for hours in our flip flops (which are not the most comfortable of footwear for sightseeing by the way!) My toes were pretty sore by the end of our trip but it was so worth it.

Possibly the best ice cream ever !!!!!

Possibly the best ice cream ever !!!!!

Even though we only had about 36 hours away in Rome it was really special :-)

Mark flew back to London as he had a TV job and I arrived in Manchester to do a personal appearance in Manchester, here’s a pic of Reuben my hairdresser and Emily my MUA getting me ready in the Great John Street hotel which is a cute boutique hotel in the city centre (which used to be an old infants school), and then it was straight down to London with a group of my best friends for my birthday night out in the capital (yes that’s right – I celebrated it over a whollllllleeeeee week!)

We stayed at the London Malmaison, I’ve stayed here before and think it’s a really nice hotel especially the cool restaurant downstairs called ‘Strip Club’ (in reference to steaks by the way!).

Just arrived at Malmaison London with ma girlies

For our night out we went to Shaka Zulu in Camden. The music is really good, a mix of old and new RnB and we all got up dancing. My dress is one of my faves from my new Lipsy range (out 3rd July) and the shoes are also Lipsy. We all had such a good time, we have all known each other since school and whenever we get together we have a lot of fun and banter :-) here are some pics from our night out …

I couldn’t stay too late partying because Laura my Publicist and I were off to Spain the following morning for a very special photo shoot. I’m happy to tell all my HELLO! readers… I have shot my first ever official calendar!

Shaka Zulu

We flew to Mallorca and stayed in a huge, modern villa in Pollensa, up in the hills of the island. My team (Alan, Fay, Lorraine, Collette, Laura and I) shot for 3 days at the villa and at various places around the beautiful island.

Laura and I after our swim in the sea

Laura and I after our swim in the sea

I also invited my mum along because I haven’t spent much quality time with her so we had lots of lovely catching up in the sunshine…

I’m not going to reveal any pictures just yet, but it looks amazing and I can’t wait for you all to see the calendar – it’s out later in the year!

Stunning coastline around Mallorca

Stunning coastline around Mallorca

I love Mallorca, it’s such a pretty place, the weather is fab (it was around 28′c every day) and it’s so convenient to get to & from the UK, I would love to have a holiday home there one day. On our day off we chartered a boat and went sailing which was such a treat and very relaxing..s Here are a couple of pictures from our day out .. I wore a cut out dress from topshop, my havanos flip flops and lots of sun cream! We swam in the sea, had a picnic and checked out the super yachts in Palma. One even had a helicopter on it…

Feeding the fishes off the side of the boat

Feeding the fishes off the side of the boat

My hair was getting pretty dry with all the extra sunshine it’s been having, so I used this hair masque Masquintense by Kerastase every day to keep it soft and shiny. I’ve also been hammering the after sun and my favourite Origins Dr Weil face serum & eye cream, and my Kiehls Midnight Recovery concentrate to make sure my skin stays hydrated. Years ago I used to sit out in the sun for hours on end with oil on but now I wear a decent factor (usually between a 15-25 ) and limit my sunbathing as it’s important to look after your skin. All my older friends tell me you will thank yourself in 10 years time, so I have taken this on board.

Much needed moisture for my hair

On our last evening we went down to Magaluf to watch the brilliant Pirates show. I was in awe of the performers from start to finish, I would describe it as a cross between Pirates of the Caribbean and Cirque de Soleil and well worth watching.

Loved the Pirates Adventure show in Mallorca

Next week I have more castings and meetings which I am really looking forward to, oh and I’m off to Ascot, so I need to find a new hat ! Will let you know more about my Spanish trip next week too as there’s lots more to share with you !!!!!!! ;-)

More Pirates!!

Until next time,

Shopping for the Soap Awards and saying bye to Tina

It’s been such a memorable week for me, mostly because it’s the most bizarre experience watching yourself fall off the top of a building, then get whacked round the head with a blunt object!

I filmed those scenes beginning of April and it’s come around so quick, I must say thank you to all the lovely people who have tweeted me about the storyline, the scripts were written by Simon Crother and direction by Duncan Foster was so spot on, and to do such dramatic scenes with Chris and Mark was an brilliant experience for me. Thanks guys – you were ledges!

I won’t lie, I found it hard watching those scenes back, I felt so sad for Tina, what a difficult and traumatic life she had, and to end up being murdered like that – tragic!

In other Corrie related news I was chuffed to bits with my Soap Award for Sexiest Female. I truly don’t have a clue why I have won it so many times, but as I won’t be going back to Corrie – it will deffo be the last time!

I always get asked in interviews what do I think ‘sexy’ is and I think it’s down to being comfortable and happy in your own skin and SMILING! Whenever I do photoshoots and a photographer says “pout” or “look sexy” I cringe! I much prefer smiling as I feel silly and awkward pouting away. It’s not very me. Smile girls!

I feel silly and awkward pouting away on photoshoots

I feel silly and awkward pouting away on photoshoots

I’m also really happy for Corrie’s other awards and of course to Julie Hesmondhalgh and David Neilson. They are both such natural and talented actors, their awards are very deserved.

My outfit seemed to create a bit of talking point because I didn’t wear a dress! The reason for this was because I wasn’t going to go to the awards as I was going to be going on holiday with Mark and some pals, but I changed flights (on the Thursday night) to attend, which meant I had nowt to wear and hardly any time to shop….

On Friday A.M I razzed it into town and found this suit in Selfridges pretty quickly, I had to get it altered slightly at my local tailors but felt great in it and I wanted to do something a bit different.

I also got these lush boots from Top Shop on my power shop round Manchester – how cute are they?

New boots

New boots

My suit was by BCBG and the black and gold shoes are from Lipsy London. It was so good wearing a suit on the red carpet as I didn’t have to worry about VPLs, low necklines, bra straps or bad weather/gusts of wind that can reveal your underwear! The other good thing about the suit is that I will get loads of wear out of it too, just with the jacket or as a two-piece.

My suit was from Lipsy

My suit was from Lipsy

There was some seriously wow dresses on the red carpet – my favourite look of the night was Catherine Tyldesley. @Cath_Tyldesley who wore one of my favourite designers Philip Armstrong Atelier and I loved her jewellery too as it was subtle, and like me she wore delicate gold stacking and knuckle rings.

I also loved Brooke’s Mark Melia two piece in gold and white and Tisha Merry’s elegant cocktail dress by Zeynep Kartal. Best thing about all these outfits – the designers are all based in the North West!

My hairdresser Reuben Wood blow dried my hair quite straight, but full with loads of volume with Kevin Murphy ‘Full Again’ and some ‘Powder Puff’ dust to keep it in place and used Mark Hill’s ‘MiracOILicious Moroccan Argan Oil’ to keep it shiny and smooth (this stuff smells GORGEOUS).

By the way, have you tried hair dust before? You sprinkle it on the top if your hair and believe me it doesn’t move. Admittedly your hair feels ermmm not very nice, a bit like putting talc on your head, but at least you still have plenty of oomph after a few hours!

Have you tried hair dust before?

Have you tried hair dust before?

For makeup my makeup artist Colette used Benefit ‘Porefessional’ as a good long lasting primer and base and Benefit Stay Don’t Stray eye concealer as an eye shadow primer.

michelle-new

You need primer if you want your makeup to last all night, and if you’re on a red carpet all the lights and flashbulbs can melt your makeup.

Shu Uemura lashes

Shu Uemura lashes

Colette applied some Shu Uemura lashes (double layered with extra voom!) and did some subtle contouring with my new Giorgio Armani foundations in two different colours, she also used Benefit’s new ‘Lollitint’ for a subtle and healthy blush, and used this fab Naked Flush Palette for bronzer and highlighting, and I took it with me to touch up my makeup, as it’s such a handy bit of kit to have in my clutch.

Benefit

Once the awards were all done and dusted, Mark and I went to one of our fave restaurants Sushi Samba and had fish and champagne.

When we got back to our hotel we were going to stay up with everyone for a few drinks but I was so tired so I hit the hay pretty early!

At Sushi Samba

I made sure I took off my makeup first though and put on lashings of Kiehls ‘Clearly Corrective Dark Spot ‘serum. This stuff is great to minimise dark under eye circles and uneven skin tone which I tend to get if I have a heavy night, it isn’t oily or heavy on my skin (which I don’t like) and I think I look a lot fresher in the morning if I use it before I go to sleep.

Great after a night out

Anyway, I’m currently sunning myself on holiday and finally getting some wind down time. Hurrayyyyyyyyyyyyy! It’s so nice to relax!

Here’s a snap of me and my girls Katie and Liz, about to hit the town in Spain.

I’m back next week for the press launch of my first Lipsy London collection on Tuesday which I’m SO excited about! Can’t wait for you all to see it, here’s a few pics of me on the first fashion shoot on location we did a little while ago. It’s also the small matter of my birthday next week (Wednesday!) and on Friday I’m back in London having a night out with my gals. Can’t wait!!

Real Heroes and bagging a treat

This week has been another busy one! I went to Ireland at the weekend and then on the Sunday I flew home VERY early to get to the christening for baby Ruby, my dear friend Robyn’s little girl. It was so lovely to catch up with my girlfriends and have some cake.

Wearing my Lipsy jumpsuit

I decided to wear this sophisticated and comfortable jump suit by Lipsy. I love the nude colour, this is something I can wear again and again, in fact – I ended up driving down to Essex afterwards and having an impromptu night out still in the same jumpsuit, it’s definitely a fab day-to-night piece of clothing – you can get it here (http://www.lipsy.co.uk/store/kardashian/kardashian-v-neck-belted-jumpsuit/product-is-DR07333_041).

Here I am with my future husband and sister in law :-)

On Sunday I was on a PA in Peterborough and then had to hop on a train to London for my first appearance on Lorraine for the High Street Fashion Awards 2014.

I haven’t really done much presenting before, and it does feel a bit alien to me sometimes to talk into cameras, when I have been avoiding looking anywhere near them for 6 years, but I do enjoy it and Lorraine and Mark Heyes are so nice to work with.

Lorraine did a cracking leaving message on a video for me, which was a surprise at my leaving party, I forgot to say this on Tuesday – but thank you so much Lorraine!!!

My skirt blew up!

When I left ITV Southbank I got caught by a gust of wind and my skirt blew up when I was getting into my car, Thankfully the photographers who were waiting outside didn’t see anything they shouldn’t! It could have been quite embarrassing otherwise…

Straight after Lorraine I went with my publicist to Tedworth in Wiltshire to meet some real heroes at Tedworth House.

Tedworth House aims to inspire the wounded, injured and sick and returning veterans to lead active, independent and fulfilling lives, which will enable them to reach their full potential and to support them and their families’ for life.

It is the most amazing place, with top care and support, full of opportunities providing education, training, sport and adventure in a relaxed, understanding and caring environment.

I sat down with residents to find out more about their experiences and the ways in which Help for Heroes run Recovery Centres have supported their families.

I also popped into an art class and toured the Phoenix Centre – an adaptive sports facility which was recently visited by HRH Prince Harry to mark the start of the Invictus Games selection process. It has tennis courts, a state of the art gym, pool and even a ski slope!

You can see exactly where all the fund-raising money goes, right there, helping ill and injured service men and women get better, and find ways to adapt to life. It was a truly inspiring visit and I can’t wait to get more involved with Help for Heroes charity.

We left around 4pm to head back to London, caught our train and I took advantage of the down time by perusing some bridal magazines, yes – I’m starting to look for ‘THE Dress’

I know what I want, but I can’t say otherwise it will spoil the surprise!

I checked out dresses from the Met Ball

I also checked out all the dresses from the Met Gala 2014 for some inspiration, I loved Victoria Beckham, Sarah Jessica Parker in De La Renta and her up ‘do with the flowers in her hair (very Carrie!), Rachel McAdams’ in that elegant understated pink dress, Blake Lively also in a nudey pink dress but with the sweeping cape at the back and Charlize Theron’s monochrome gown with the tux jacket over her shoulders was SOOOOOooooo stylish and cool!

I have to say I wasn’t sure about the cut or style of Kim K’s dress as it didn’t really enhance her fab curves, but I did like the deep blue on her. I also wasn’t too sure about Zoe Saldana’s dress with the big poufy lampshade style skirt. It looked a bit odd!

The following day was another early start with the High Street Fashion Awards live links in Manchester. I really enjoyed filming in the Arndale (where I actually do a lot of my shopping!).

After filming I had about 30 mins to kill so I popped in to Chanel to lust over their handbags. I have ALWAYS wanted a Chanel bag and THIS would be the day that I finally got one!

I was given a Selfridges voucher from the cast of Coronation Street as one of my leaving presents and put this towards – THIS BEAUT!

Honestly I was having butterflies when I went to the counter, I did look at others but I figured this one would be the most practical as black goes with everything, I can fit loads in it like a make-up bag, scripts, diary and plenty more (erm, Chanel purse maybe pahahaha!), plus it’s sturdy and I can wear it over my shoulder. This was THE BEST end to a great week! THANK YOU to my friends in Weatherfield for helping me get this beautiful bag.

Auditions and my new hair!

Auditions Auditions Auditions!

It’s been another busy week for me going up and down the country for auditions and meetings, which by the way I am loving! I had a recall for one which I didn’t expect at all, when I walked into the room all the girls looked the same with long dark hair and olive skin, I haven’t ever really experienced castings before as Corrie was my second ever audition, so it’s going to take a while to get used to, but it’s all good and some of the scripts I have been reading are excellent.

Alsoooo, I can’t say exactly what – but I have a big announcement on May 14th, and it’s something I am really excited about and have been bursting to tell people for ages! Will reveal all soon!

Aside from meetings etc. I have been spending time in Essex with Mark and our friends. We went for dinner one night to Alec’s Fish Restaurant which was delicious – here’s my outfit:

michelleblog12

The bag is Zara, skirt (I can’t actually remember) I think it is Mango?, top is Lipsy, shoes are Office and the statement necklace is Zara.

I think the necklace finishes the outfit off – here’s some other necklaces I have my eye on at the mo:

These are from http://www.pearlescence.co.uk/ the first is garnets and a black pearl, and the second is a simple big pearl on a pendant.

pearls

I love this one from Zara and this one is Johnny loves Rosie from ASOS and this one is really something from Stella and Dot!

new-necklaces

I have also got my nails done in this really lovely coral colour, and my new ‘M’ ring is from Rock and Rose – I love it so much I got it in gold too!

michelleblog10

My hair was long overdue a good trim so I took my mummy into my favourite Manchester hair salon www.reubenwoodcreatives.co.uk for some much needed trimmage. I was thinking about having something a bit more drastic and getting my hair into a bob or something but I know I would regret it afterwards! Here’s me in the salon:

new-hair

I also tried out my new make-up purchases that night and I have to say I am pretty impressed – the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette is a must have for your clutch bag (as you can see mine didn’t carry much) as it’s a natural blusher, subtle highlighter and golden bronzer in one. The colours really suit my skin tone and I didn’t need to put a lot on to get a healthy glow. The highlighter is best for under the arch on your eyebrows, the line across the top of your cheeks, your temples and a bit on your chin.michelleblogpalette

Loads of people have tweeted me asking where my new sunglasses are from – they are Michael Kors and I have been wearing them all the time (not indoors though, that’s just plain wrong!)

image

Elsewhere I’m on the hunt for the perfect red carpet bag and shoes, because I am going to the BAFTA Awards on May 18th as a guest of one of the partners – St Tropez … I have already chosen my dress which is VERY rare for me as I tend to leave things very last minute, but need the accessories and jewellery to match. I’m on the hunt next week so will report back on goodies I find.

Also next week I am on Lorraine on Tuesday morning to launch the High Street Fashion Awards (make sure you tune in!) and will be doing a live link from Manchester on the Thursday too.

After I am on Lorraine on Tuesday I am straight off to Wiltshire where I am meeting some very inspirational soldiers who are residents of the fantastic Help for Heroes recovery centre – Tedworth House.

The House provides support to serving and veteran members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded, injured or become sick and has state of the art facilities to help nurse the soldiers and ex soldiers who are recovering there.

helpforheroes

I’ve been really looking forward to this visit for some time, and will be working with Help For Heroes to help raise vital funds for them later in the year.

http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/

Speaking of charities – another one that I support is the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and my friend and ex Coronation Street co-star Catherine Tyldesley is going to be doing getting into Salford Quays and swimming in the OPEN WATER (eeek Cath! It will be soooo coldddd!), to raise money for this vital local cause as part of the Great Swim Series 2014 .To sponsor Cath please go to http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/CathTyldesley

I also want to thank everyone again who voted for me for the FHM #100sexiest poll. I was totally shocked when I got the call to say I had won, I honestly couldn’t believe it.. I really do think that being sexy is about smiling, being confident and comfortable in your own skin. You don’t need to put on lots of make-up or wear next to nothing to be sexy.

Here’s to an exciting week ahead!

Lots of love

Auditioning for new roles and those I’m a Celebrity rumours

Well, that’s it! I have officially left Corrie. Thanks again to all the lovely people who have tweeted me and who turned up at the ITV gates to say goodbye. It’s been so overwhelming.

Instead of lazy lie-ins with nothing to do, I have been just as busy as ever, and have started auditioning for some acting roles. They have been really interesting parts, so fingers crossed something might come off! I did see a story in one of the papers this week saying that I was going to be going on I’m a Celebrity but that’s not the case at all, I’m going to be concentrating on my acting career :-)

MKVnewblog24

In between commuting to London for auditions I have been visiting some fab places – this is me in Cruise Club in Chester on Easter Monday. I loved their Studio 54 style dancefloor!

MKVNewblog21

My top and white leather skirt are Lipsy!

I have also been going out with my friends for lunches and have been having a big of a high street shop – this is all new – new dress from Mango and Jacket from Zara and my pendant is a bespoke one from a really cool brand called Mi Moneda. https://mi-moneda.com/ which is Spanish for ‘my coin’ .

pendant

I’m totally loving pastels at the moment. Here’s a selection of outfits I have my eye on, especially the pinky Roland Mouret dress. I really need a special night out to wear this beaut!

mkvnewblog9

clotes

Speaking of nights out, I need a make-up rehaul. I have used my Naked 3 pallete by Urban Decay so much now nearly all my favourite colours are gone. This one is perfect for my skin tone and is a must for me, I love the size of the mirror and the brushes are of a good quality, the only problem is the size of the palette, its too big to fit in a purse so you cant retouch your make-up on a night out!

Instead I use a decent eye-shadow primer to keep it in place all night – Benefit Stay Don’t Stray is great for this and then I add lashings of their Bad Gal Lash Mascara to finish the look.

mkVnewcolumn12

I also seem to have about 20 lipsticks in my bag and always wear the same nude MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick, it’s time to get brave and try some new colours out. I love ‘Neon Pink’ by Bobbi Brown. I think it would look best with a neutral outfit though otherwise it’s a bit of colour overload!

mknewvblog17

I did a photoshoot recently where my make-up artist did a bit of Kim Kardashian contouring on me and I really liked the results, I think it works better on camera than it does for day to day make-up, but I’m not quite sure how to do it at home – are they any decent kits out there that also give you step by step instructions how to do it properly? If so please let me know and I will have a bash at some and let you know the results!

Anyway , till next week , tweet me some pictures (@michkeegan @hellomag ) of your make-up contouring before and afters so that I can work out how to do it!

Lots of love

My unusual photoshoot and my latest buys

Hi everyone!

Sooo! This is my first blog for HELLO! Online! I’m really excited to be joining the HELLO! team, here is what’s been going on in my life this week:

I’m on a bit of a health kick following my holiday to Dubai, and have been trying to get to the gym around 4 times a week. Sometimes I don’t get there till after I finish work which can be after 8pm and I always try and think of excuses not to go, but once I’ve trained for 45mins to 1hr I feel loads better… I just stick my headphones on, get the tunes going on and do a mixture of weights and cardio. I don’t have a personal trainer, I take health and nutrition advice off people and just train myself!

michelle-keegan

Last weekend I went on a shoot with a bit of a difference and I wanted to share this with my readers!

A creative team I work with and I went up to a farm in the Peak District to do a fashion shoot involving animals, with some of the shots carrying an Easter and Spring theme. I didn’t realise how high up the Peak District was and over the course of just one day we had rain, hail, wind and sun, the weather was so unpredictable and quite random. I’m not going to lie, it was pretty cold! Just look at this pic of how covered up the crew were!

Me with a baby chick!

Me with a baby chick!

The shoot concept sounded really cute with bunnies, lambs and chicks, but it wasn’t as easy as it sounds! I soon learnt that they have a habit of not keeping still, wandering off, pecking you and doing things that you erm, don’t quite expect! (or want on a photoshoot!) Needless to say, the pictures were a lot of fun. Here’s some snaps from the day.

Shoot!

Shoot!

I always pick up great tips from shoots and will be sharing them with you – I absolutely love this Urban Decay naked 2 palette for my eyes.

michelle-keegan5

Benefit Primer ‘Porefessional’ which keeps make up set all day (great for nights out and red carpet too!) and Shu Uemera lashes which look so natural and full on camera.

michelle-keegan6

For my hair we used the Kevin Murphy range which I love because its paraben free so it’s good for your hair and for the environment, and as my hair is so fine my hairdresser Reuben used thick dark brown clip in Beauty Work extensions for added length and oomph!

I went through the shots last night and it’s looking good!

I also managed to get down to the Trafford Centre this week at had a bit of a shop. I spied these shoes from Office which I love, so got them in both colours (woops!)

However I was on the lookout for a high street version of this gorgeous Victoria Beckham white blazer:

And hurray! I found a similar one in Zara. This jacket looks really effortless and stylish with dark blue jeans or jeggings and a sexy heel. I would team it with the new YSL brown clutch bag, which I am saving up for. It’s GORGEOUS!

I’m going to be going to quite a few castings and business meetings when I leave Corrie next month so an outfit like this is perfect, and the jacket is great for a night time look with leather trousers.

Next week I will tell you all about what I did on Mother’s day for my mum Jackie, and I’m going to have a bit of a pamper night in to try out some overnight beauty masks and body scrubs so I will report back on the ones I like :-)

Lots of love
