Girls Birthday Night Out To Menagerie, Revlon dinner in London and special celebrations.
So I will start my blog off where I finished last week – and that was my friend Beckie’s 30th birthday celebrations!
As you all probably know by now, I have a group of girlfriends in Manchester, and we have been firm friends since school.
We always try and meet up for special occasions and traditions, and Beckie’s (who was my maid of honour) birthday was a biggie!
I have known Beckie since I was 2 years old. We have grown up together. We went to the same primary school and high school and the same college.
We are very close and she is my best friend. Happy Birthday Beckie!
It’s situated kind of in between the Lowry hotel and Spinningfields on New Bailey Street, its a bar and concept dining venue, and I think it’s perfect for a girls night out.
The design and décor is very pretty and the food is delicious.
We enjoyed many different small plates – lots of different things to try, a bit like tapas but food influences from all over the world, oh and we quite a few exotic cocktails.
During the evening there is lots of entertainment from singers to sexy dancers and bendy aerial performers.
The music is all stuff you can sing along to, and then at around midnight the mood changes into more of a party/club atmosphere, and you can dance on the long runway in the middle of the restaurant (we all did this at some point during the night!)
Look at this amazing dessert/cake creation that their chef made especially for Becs.
We all just kind of sat and stared at it for a while, and then took loads of pictures of course!
It was one of those cakes that lasts for a week, Beckie took it home with her and I think ( I’m sure she won’t mind me saying pahahaahah….) that she had some for breakfast the following day!

I wanted to wear a party dress so I wore this gold and black body con dress from my Lipsy collection.
It’s actually boned which hugs you in at all the right places but it’s very comfortable to wear.
I kept the accessories simple as its such a statement dress – and wore a choker I picked up a few week ago from Topshop.
I used some of my favourite all time body balm – ‘Bathina’ by Benefit on my shoulders and collar bones to reflect the light and give a silky shimmer. Bathina is a bit of a cult product for Benefit – you can get it here: https://www.benefitcosmetics.com/uk/en-gb/product/take-a-picture-it-lasts-longer
I also tried out this anti-ageing ‘Wake Up Balm’ by Estée Lauder. It glided on my skin making it instantly firmer and smoother. Really impressed with this lotion as an instant and subtle radiance boost. You can get it here http://m.esteelauder.co.uk/product/681/41234/product-catalog/skincare/revitalizing-supreme/global-anti-aging-wake-up-balm
She won ‘Specialist PR of the Year’ at the Talk of Manchester Awards, and I am really proud of her :-)
She works really hard, and deserves it so much.
Here she is with her award!!!!
Also this week I had a meeting with Revlon. We discussed the new products that are going to be released in January.
I can’t really say much about them as they are not on the shelves, but I tried them all out . We are featuring heavily on the ‘Colour Stay’ make-up line (make-up that lasts all day) but I can’t say anything more than that sorrrrrrrryyyy!
Then after the meeting we went to the Bloomsbury hotel in London and had a sumptuous dinner with all the magazine beauty editors.
It was beautifully decorated and felt Christmassy, with lots of red roses and candles.
For starters I enjoyed scallops with artichoke, and main was miso cod with quinoa. YUM!
I decided to keep my outfit simple with a black top and skirt, but teamed it with my splendid Sophia Webster black ankle butterfly boots that I have only worn once, so it was good to wear them again.
The boots are very eye catching and I got a lot of compliments on them, I need to wear them out more but they are so pretty I don’t like the thought of scuffing them!
Here is Sophia’s website https://www.sophiawebster.com
I also wore my cream long coat by Zara – it’s very warm and I think it looks pretty smart. I got it a while ago so I dont think you can get it anymore….
Before I sign off I must say a special thanks to Rachel and Abi at MCFC (Manchester City) – for organising tickets etc for my dad, brother and grandad to watch Man City V’s Celtic at the Etihad Stadium.
The ladies kindly arranged for them to go into an executive box, and be treated to some great hospitality and – (this is the best bit!) outdoor heated seats to watch the actual match!
My grandad is a massive Celtic fan and my brother and dad are blues, this was memorable evening for them, even though my grandad had to take his Celtic scarf off because the box was at the City end! Thanks ladies!
I must sign off now as I need to spend the day Christmas shopping. I still have so much to do, and much prefer going into stores than internet shopping.
Until next week
All my love
