Wrapping on Tina and Bobby, and my latest high street bargains
Afternoon everyone, hope you are all enjoying the rare sunshine!
It’s my last week filming Tina and Bobby, it’s been a very interesting and enjoyable filming project, and I have been working with a fantastic cast and crew.
I am also looking forward to a bit of down time where I can catch up with myself, spend time with Mark and our families, have some lazy days walking the dogs, do some Autumn clothes shopping, visit friends, and do some comfort food cooking at home. Hurray!
The ladies in this picture are Amy, Sophie and Lindsey they are playing all the WAGs in Tina and Bobby, this piccy was taken when we were filming the 1966 World Cup. I love our costumes, especially our gloves.
Last week I met the Yorkshire cricket team as we were using where they are based in Leeds for the filming of the match. I also had a sneaky peak of their tour bus too. How big is my hair in this picture!!!!!
So this week I am continuing with caring for my blonde hair by treating it to hair masks and using a toner to dull down the brassiness of the blonde.
I use serum every day to keep my hair smooth and shiny, this Aveda one is good and smells really fresh.
It has aloe vera in it too which strengthens your hair too, I have never really appreciated just how much you have to care for your hair when you bleach it.
On set I am using this Kevin Murphy Anti Gravity splay a lot. It’s £19 and is a non-aerosol, weightless spray which adds volume and shine to your hair.
It contains Manuka honey which hydrates, and grapefruit extract to promote hair growth (who knew grapefruits did that ?!), the best thing about the spray is that it is paraben free.
This Kevin Murphy Treatment Oil is also excellent and leaves my hair feeling strong and healthy.
I comb it through to the ends, and then after I have blow dried my hair.
Use the shimmer shine on it for a healthy sheen. I would go easy on it though, otherwise your hair can look a bit greasy.
This is my buy of the week. This very pretty two piece from Zara.
I cant believe it is Zara. When I saw it in the store I had to have it straight away as I think its really different.
I know Summer is on its way out (OK , OK, Summer has been a bit of a wash out so far!) but I bought it to save it for holidays abroad and future summers.
The skirt is £49.99 and the top is 19.99 its a bargain and I think it looks really cool and classy. Well done Zara!
Here are some other great pieces I have my eye on in Zara.
Remember I said velvet was going to be big this A/W ? look at these beauties.
I love this rich red velvet slip dress £22.99
And these Velvet leggings are very sexy and come in bronze and grey at only £15.99
I also love this black frilly crop top which is only £15.99
Topshop also have some velvet steals – this low back, black skater dress is only £29.99 and would pretty much suit every occasion.
And to jazz up a simple outfit such as a black cami top and wide leg trousers, why not try this striking Topshop velvet statement blazer in Jade.
its £65.00 but I think it looks much more expensive that that.
Oh I nearly forgot to show you these….. hello lls heaven! How cute are these pom pom sandals? Also by good old Zara. They will look perfect on holiday teamed with a white dress and help snazzy up a more casual outfit.
I’m really into gold chains at the minute. I have bought a few this last week as a bit of a treat, to wear on nights out.
This one is Ariella – from Topshop its very simple and elegant for £18…
This one is Zara ( it would appear to be my high street store of the week!) and it is a choker with a longer necklaces and this is £15.99.
I also got these lashes from Eyelure for the Tina and Bobby wrap party. I want to glam up for the do, and spotted these. They are new ‘improved’ ones by Eyelure and they caught my eye (no pun intended) because they long, wispy and natural…
Before I go, I must tell you that on Friday 16th September, I’m proud to be officially opening the Southampton Boat Show.
I love being by the water so I am really looking forward to this!
At the Boat Show there are loads of opportunities to get out on the water yourself and trial the latest speedboats, yachts and the latest craze of Stand Up Paddleboarding, all for free.
There will also be air and parachute displays throughout the show, a festival stage with fashion shows and live music, and plenty of entertainment for the little ones including bumper boats, kids’ corner and a big sandpit with lots of games.
I’ll be there to officially open the Show at 11am on the Show’s festival stage on 16 September. For more info go to: www.southamptonboatshow.com and I look forward to seeing you all there!
All my love
