New beauty must-haves, girls night in Manchester and the Revlon Ball in London

Hi everyone

First of all – an apology!

I haven’t been able to write my blog for a while because I have been filming a lot recently, but I finally found the time to sit down and up date you all.

Filming on Tina and Bobby is going great. It’s a super crew and cast and we are all enjoying the project.

So……. chokers are still really big this season, I see lots of ladies out and about wearing them and I think they look great, and can really finish an outfit off. The neck is a sexy area for ladies, so a choker can highlight this well.

I wanted to get a few, but instead of a normal black band, I decided to change it up a little bit, the gold one is from Freedom at Topshop and this pink one with the necklace hanging off it is from good old Zara.

Both of these are perfect for a night out, and are better than the bog standard ones you can see currently on the high street.

I am championing this eye cream – it is by Janjira. I have it in my handbag, and I use it every morning at the moment, before I go on set.

It’s like a cooling eye lift, so perfect for all these early call times as I slap some on after I wake up, and it helps de puff my eyes, as they have a tendency to swell up when I haven’t had a good 10 hours sleep.

This is by far my favourite lipstick of the moment, it is Revlon Ultra Matte HD lip – its in 6 different colours and as my hair is currently blonde, I can wear a bit of a darker lip than normal and this one is my favourite.

I am also loving the Gwen Stefani Urban Decay make-up range – in particular this blush palette. it has six shades of blush, bronzer and highlighter suitable for any skin tone.

I started using it as a brunette, and i am still using it (different colours though) as a blonde. The powders have a soft creamy texture that glide on your skin great and leave a silky finish. www.urbandecay.co.uk for more info.

How glorious was the weather this weekend?

I went out for a pub lunch with Mark over in the pretty Cheshire village of Prestbury, and wore this really cute outfit (if I do say so myself!)

I do love dungarees, I have been wearing them for years, they are so easy to throw on and look cool but casual.

This pair are from Topshop, the green frilly crop top is from Zara and the shoes are from Miss Selfridge. We sat and enjoyed the sunshine and a delicious roast meal with all the trimmings. Perfect day off!

This jacket I LOVE!!! especially because it has my name on the back. It means no one can borrow it!

It is from ANZ. The website is www.ANZclothing.com. I am wearing it loads when I am relaxing on set and at home. You can order customized ones from the AMZ website. The colour and print on the sleeves is bright and fun.

Luckily because I am getting weekends off from filming, I get to spend some quality time with my family and friends.

Last week we had a family barbeque where I got to see my cousin Katie, whom I haven’t seen for a while as she was working as a member of the production team on Love Island over in Mallorca, so we had lots to catch up while enjoyed a shandy or three.

Also over the weekend, my group of school friends and I went to my favourite restaurant in Manchester: Australasia. I know I have said this before but the food and service is amazing.

We went out to celebrate our friend Hayley leaving Manchester to go back to Oman where she now lives, and I decided to wear a LBD from my Lipsy London range. It’s actually made of wool, so the texture and fit looked great, and fortunately for me the evening wasn’t overly hot (typical Manchester in other words!) so I didn’t bake in it.

We got stuck into the very moorish lychee rose martinis, and enjoyed plenty of healthy sushi.

Was a lovely night catching up!

I also recently went to the Revlon Ball as their guest which was a wonderful experience.

It was held at the stunning and historic V n A, and I decided to wear a long black evening gown by Manchester designer – Nadine Merabi. She even made me a black choker made with the same beaded material the dress was made in.

It was my first time on a red carpet as a blonde too, I added some volume with some golden and ash blonde BeautyWorks clip in extensions, to give it more texture as it has to be all one colour for filming (as it is a 60’s style of hair colour and cut right now).

I thought this worked quite nicely, the extra pieces gave my hair some oomph too. Thanks BeautyWorks!

I got ready in the Rosewood Hotel in London and was treated to all this amazing food. How nice does this afternoon tea look?

Anyway, must dash, will be back next week for more fashion and beauty tips :-)

All my love
