BAFTAs, girls night in Essex and my Lipsy London A/W launch
I was fortunate to be invited to the BAFTAs this year, and for the first time in about 3 years I have been able to actually attend (I have always been either filming or out of the country previously).
I love the BAFTAs. It is always a great turnout of people, very well organised and I love a good excuse to dress up!
I took my cousin Katie along with me as Mark was in Vegas. Here is a shot of the room as we walked down to the dinner after the awards. Loving all the feathers!
I decided to wear this pretty mint green dress from Label Lab at House of Fraser.
Yes I know! I saw the creases! I got the creases because I was sat down in a car for an hour beforehand. The fabric creased easily and it was a shame but saying that I still loved the dress.
Mint green is such a flattering and fresh colour and I like the back detail on the dress too – here is a piccy!
My handbag was from House of Fraser and did you see my ultra pretty hand jewellery? So unusual! Here is a close up:
This stunning jewellerey is from from http://www.leivankash.com
Founder of the brand Leila Kashanipour takes inspiration from her Persian roots, mixing her Iranian culture with the clean and contemporary lines of her life in London.
Since Leila founded the company in 2011 post graduating with a BA in Jewellery Design from Central St Martins, LEIVANKASH has become synonymous with style and fashion, with many famous ladies wearing her designs such as Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Olivia Palermo, Rita Ora…and now me! I love her pieces and will definitely be wearing more!
I have been doing a lot of wedding prep this week. I am actually writing this week’s blog, sat in the hairdressing chair at Inanch on Great Portland Street. I love coming in here, and getting a good pamper.
Mark has been on his stag party the last week so to keep me company some of my girlfriends and family came down from Manchester to see me.
We met up with some of the other Essex girls who also came on the hen party out in Dubai.
We all had a brilliant night down in Faces in Essex. Here we all are having a dance :-)
The white two-piece I am wearing is from Miss Selfridge. Love my girlies, thanks for a fab night!
Also, last week was latest my Autumn and Winter Lipsy London launch, which was held at the very sexy ME hotel in our capital city, London.
I wanted to showcase the range as much as possible so we all agreed a do three changes on the day, I think the press loved the collection, we got loads of great feedback on it.
Here is a close-up of my make-up by my make-up artist Emily.
I asked Emily what she used on my skin and here is what she had to say:
“When you’ve got great skin, my best advice is not to cover it all up but enhance your natural beauty!
You can always cover up areas of redness or blemishes with a high converge concealer. Michelle has amazing skin as she’s just been on holiday so firstly I prepped the skin with Embryrolisse moisturiser and then went in with the resultime CC Cream to give a glowing, dewy finish to the skin.
I used MAC moisture cover concealer underneath the eyes which has a great consistency as its really hydrating and doesn’t dry cakey. I love the NYX liquid illuminator to add a glow to the cheeks and highlighted and contoured with the B. Sculpted contour kit from superdrug- one of my new favourites!
On the brows, Michelle loves the Charlotte Tilbury brow pencils which are amazing and super easy to use! We went for a natural but defined eye for the Lipsy Launch which is the perfect day look. I used Mac Bronze lustre drops as a base and set with the Naked pigment also by Mac. I used my firm favourite gel eyeliner by illamasqua and cut the ends of the ‘Demi-Wispies’ lashes by Ardel to give a more feline shape. Finished off with lots of Code Beautiful mascara and a subtle nude lip which was ‘Subculture liner’ and ‘Cherish’ lipstick!
To go from day to night super quickly, we changed the lip to Soar lip liner and smoked up with the eyes with the Tom Ford bronze quad!
Thanks Emily!!!! loved my make-up ….
Lipsy surprised me with this absolutely beautiful flower wall.
We had a party in the evening (also at the ME) and everyone tucked into canapés, champagne and cupcakes with edible pansies on the top!
These strawberries were FIT !!!!!!
The collection is out in July – please let me know what you think – just tweet me on @michkeegan.
Right I need to go, I have the small matter of a wedding to organise!
Lots of love,
