How to blow dry your hair at home and my leaving presents for the Corrie cast
Hi everyone !
Hope you have all been loving the sunshine as much as I have! This weekend I travelled to Surrey for a photoshoot for another top secret project. All will be revealed next month! We shot in this AMAZING house which was really modern and had an infinity pool, and even a bar and dancefloor in the basement. I’ve never seen a house with a dancefloor in it before! We checked the weather in Europe and where we were on Sunday was hotter than Spain or Greece! Anyway, here is a picture for you of me and the team :-) just as we were all packing up (and still wearing sunglasses due to it still being very bright at 6.30pm!)
I’m also really delighted to tell you that I am going to be one of the judges for Lorraine Kelly’s High Street Fashion Awards 2014 which is taking place on May 21st and broadcasting on Lorraine on the 22nd.
As you know I LOVE the High Street, it’s great at having the latest trends and fashions at really affordable prices, I can’t wait to see some of our brilliant brands recognised at this year’s awards. I will be on Lorraine on May 6th to talk about it so make sure you tune in!
Last week I had an audition down in London so travelled down one morning from Manchester. I had a couple of hours spare so I visited a great salon called Neville’s in Belgravia and had a fab blow dry. I enjoyed the audition, it was my first one in a long time so I was a bit nervous, will let you know what happens!
I love a good blow dry! I am getting better at blow drying my hair at home and I think the key is decent products and doing it in stages with a large bristle brush.
I use mousse like Balmain and hair thickener ‘Full Again’ by Kevin Murphy for Volume :and dry in large sections (I do it with my head down for added oomph! Once my hair is just about dry I add oil and Herra hair perfume (it’s a bit of a secret of mine this product!) which smells sooooo good.
By the time you will be reading this blog I will have finished working at Coronation Street. I just want to thank everyone for all their kind and supportive messages on Twitter and the lovely letters and well wishes over the years. I have some very loyal and fantastic fans and I appreciate all of you so much. I also want to thank all my friends and colleagues on Corrie for the last 6 years of putting up with me!! I will miss everyone there very much , I know everyone says it when they leave but it really is like a family. I got some of the crew some beers and I commissioned my friend – the very talented Sandy Bay to make this beautiful candles for me to give to all the team. I hope they like them!
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter, lots of sunshine and Easter eggs!
Lots of Love
