A brief update…

Hi everyone!

Hope you’re all having a lovely week and are as excited as I am for the arrival of Spring!

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while – went on holiday but I’m back now and promise I’ll have some exciting reviews up soon…

In the meantime, what are you all reading?

  1. ‘Perfect’ by Rachel Joyce, only about a third through but it’s really simply but well written…it’s two (potentially soon to be interwoven…not sure yet!) stories, one about a ‘perfect’ housewife and one about a man who has severe OCD.

Definitely a nice one to pick up and dip into! :)

  2. I’ve been reading Hanif Kureshi’s the Last Word and have been for the last month! I’m really enjoying it but never seem to have a spare five minutes.

  3. I’m reading ‘The Edible Woman’ by Margaret Atwood – loving it so far :)

  4. I have just finished reading The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I cannot believe it has taken me so long to finally get around to reading it but it was worth the wait; one of the most harrowing but hauntingly beautiful books I have ever read.
I’m currently just about to finish Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster; the sweetest little story in the form of letters from a young girl at college named Jerusha “Judy” Abbott, to her benefactor, a rich man whom she has never seen.
And then, for something completely different, I shall embark on the second Game of Thrones book: A Clash of Kings. So many books, so little time!

  5. I’m a few pages into She Lover of Death by Boris Akunin. Despite the somewhat morbid title it’s already doling out Akunin’s special brand of perfectly timed humour and gripping mystery. I’ve been reading the Fandorin series since 2004 so as I approach the end of the series I’m desperately searching for a book that will reel me in as much as Akunin’s did – needless to say, this blog is brilliant for that and i’ll be looking forward to the next post!
