Dear Santa… Kate Somerville
I’m starting to take this ignoring me thing kind of personally. I mean, I know it’s your busy time and everything but you don’t write, you don’t call, where’s the love?
Since I don’t want to be a bother, I’m just going to suggest something super easy today. You know how much I care about my skin. Being The World’s Palest Person and all, I do try to keep on top of it and after all the trouble I’ve had with adult/stress-related acne, I’m doing my best but my at hope regimen could always be helped out with a few facials and spa visits sooooo, if it’s easier than sending me a physical gift, I’ll happily take gift vouchers for the Kate Somerville Skin Clinic in LA.
I’ve been a couple of times before and they are really, really, really lovely, quite possibly my favourite facial in all of America. I mean, the spa itself is gorgeous and everyone in there is gorgeous and all of the products are gorgeous so clearly the end result will be me, only gorgeous, right?
As much as I love a good facial whenever I can get one, I love that the Kate Somerville treatments are actually effective, none of that fannying around, massaging and applying masks with no actual facial business nonsense you sometimes get. I always come out glowing and my skin looks better for days afterwards. You should be able to tell you’ve had a facial and your skin should look better, not sore or red or flaky or just the same but with five different moisturisers applied. The facial should have Done Something for you and treatments at Kate Somerville always do.
If you want to give Kate Somerville a try but can’t get to LA, I heartily recommend getting Mrs Claus some of the prods for her stocking. I’m assuming she’s an older lady so I’d prescribe the Cytocell range which my skin loves and yums up like Garfield yums up lasagne, even though it’s really designed for an older skin. But there I am making assumptions, who’s to say Mrs Claus is an older lady? If she’s a younger model these days, you can’t really go wrong with the Goat Milk cream and I am never with the Exfoli-Kate (except for now when I’m totally without it because it just ran out) and, ooh, I bet she’d love the new DermalQuench Liquid Lift + Retinol which sort of looks like it should be on Star Wars or Dr Who and I bet is very good. Mostly I am willing to bet this because it looks like it should be on Star Wars or Dr Who but come on, retinol is a wonder ingredient and I can’t wait to see how Kate has worked her magic on it.
So yeah, get thee to KateSomerville.com and order up! If not for me, think of Mrs Claus. Unless the two of you don’t really celebrate Christmas. I imagine it’s hardly your favourite day of the year. Which must be really weird… and don’t be so selfish, think of her anyway. She might like my new book too, just saying. Tis the season and all that.
