The Global Gift Gala, Marbella and amazing Giveaways on Hamilton’s Hotspots
What a week! Last week I was filming on the Costa Blanca in Spain and considering it’s October, the weather was pretty good. Each day it was around 21 degrees and the week was made even better by the fact the lovely couple I filmed with got a fantastic result! For this episode I wore a lovely little top and skirt from the brand Honeyz. Below is a photo from an fun restaurant I ate lunch in one day called The Mississippi. It’s designed as a boat set in to the hillside and its vintage decor is worth checking out itself if you don’t have time to eat!
During the week I tired some nice little beauty treatments when the children were asleep. First the Marine mask from Nu Skin and secondly their mascara which I LOVE. It’s nearly Halloween so I thought I’d share my witchy green face mask photo with you!
As soon as I wrapped I hit the road and drove five hours south to Marbella to stay at my family home in San Pedro. It’s always nice to be able to spend some time at ‘home’ when I’m ‘away’ and it was even more special because I was driving to Puerto Banus for a very good reason.
I was honoured to be asked to present the first event Ronan Keating Golf Weekend in Marbella for the Global Gift Foundation. The Global Gift Gala Foundation is known for hosting events worldwide including in Dubai, London and LA. I spent some time chatting with Maria Bravo, one of their founders who is quite simply AN INCREDIBLE woman. You can find out more about what The Global Gift Gala Foundation do on their website.
This event in Marbella was a collaboration with Ronan Keating’s family’s charity ‘The Maria Keating Foundation’. Ronan and his family sadly lost their mother to breast cancer when she was just 51 and ever since she passed away the family have been working tirelessly to raise funds, generate awareness and help find a cause.
Ronan and his wife Storm were gorgeous, as were Alesha Dixon, Ashley James and Olivia Cox all of whom were in attendance.
I spent a bit of time chatting to James Nesbitt too and applauded him for his performance in the ITV Drama ‘The Secret’. He was a charming man and kindly auctioned off a great prize to spend some time on the set of ‘Cold Feet’ with him and the cast which went for £13,000. £105k was raised on the night, so all in all it was a huge success.
I was lucky enough to have my gorgeous husband Alex by my side for both the cocktail welcome drinks on the Friday night at La Sala, when I wore a beautiful couture blue lace dress from Jody Bell. Alex wore a Paul Smith suit supplied by Robert Fuller Menswear.
The night of the gala dinner (when I was presenting on stage) I wore a black lace dress designed by Piamichi from Lucindas in Purley. It was a lot of fun being interviewed on the red carpet in Spanish and although I completely understood the presenters questions, I didn’t feel confident enough to respond in Spanish!
The following morning Alex, myself and the children headed to a gorgeous place called Lou Lou Jane’s in Puerto Banus. It serves breakfast, beautiful cakes, British Tapas, champagne and cocktails in the evening. I loved the decor of the place and the way lots of the food was served on mini wooden chopping boards. Lou Lou Jane is featured on www.hamiltonshotspots.com if you want to find out more. I highly recommend visiting this place and can’t wait for afternoon tea when I am back in Puerto Banus.
Before we headed to the airport we enjoyed lunch at The Kempinski Hotel in Estapona. We also treated ourselves to a much needed relaxing massage.
The Kempinski hotel is a 5* hotel around 20 minutes from Puerto Banus and it is stunning. Situated right on the beach, the gardens were extremely peaceful and it was nice to see everyone relaxing in the grounds were well spaced apart. The adults only Moët bar wasn’t open at the time of our visit but lots of families were still enjoying the outdoor pools.
Whilst Alex and I were treated to a 50 minute full body massage, the children got to make the most of the children’s club. It was just as hard getting them to leave, as it was getting us to leave the spa!
The Kempinski is upmarket, but it doesn’t feel too snooty or exclusive. You get 5* service in a relaxed, family friendly environment. Over the last few years Estapona town itself (which is just 5 minutes away) has transformed and has some lovely bars and restaurants. The hotel itself does have five restaurants to chose from so if you don’t want to leave the grounds you don’t have to. If you want some retail therapy and don’t want to head to Puerto Banus, Laguna village is next door with some nice shopping outlets. I really enjoyed looking around the hotel and I’m extremely excited that in December they will be offering a fantastic package for the Christmas prize draw for Hamilton‘s Hotspots. A two night stay, spa treatments, dinner and more will be on off at The Kempinski. It really is an amazing prize. Make sure you keep an eye out for it on my website and I will of course tell you more about it between now and Christmas in my HELLO! Blog.
The day after I got back to the UK, I headed to see my good friend Iyeesha who owns Powderbox Beauty. I had a beauty pamper day with my friend Hayley Sparkes getting all my beauty treatments done for my next trip abroad in a few days. Bikini wax – check. LVL- Check and Brows – Check. Iyeesha is celebrating her engagement this weekend so I want to wish her all the best and say a big thank you for fitting me in.
Now all that is left to do is pack my suitcases. Over the next 15 days I’ll be in Dubai and Portugal with the children. The travel adventure continues…
Oh and before I sign off I just wanted to share some details of another little project I’ve been working on… my calendar!! I’ve never done anything like this before but I’ve been working hard exercising and I was convinced that I should have some new pics to show off my hard work… what do you think?
Until next time,
Lots of love
