Hi guys.. Lots of things go on behind the scenes of our fabulous show. One of the Best things about being on strictly is being able to work with your friends and how much fun you get to have before and after the cameras go off..
One of my favourite hair stylists is Mitch Lumsden. We are absolutely insane when together. As you can see from the picture below we are slightly mental. He likes doing body rolls as he is doing my hair and I encourage him to add a little bit of twerking to get that extra bam! I always feel extremely comfortable that he will tame my hair and create something spectacular. But sometimes him and I can get a bit too creative and overboard with a hairstyle..
But if it makes us happy we go for it. You only live once and why not have a 3 foot quiff specially when performing at the O2…? He likes making a statement and there it is!!
Then there’s Lottie Brooksbank. Don’t be fooled by the angelic face. She is as mad as a box of frogs. Kinda like me!! I love this girl to bits and pieces. She is the queen of makeup in my eyes. We are sisters from another mister.
From the very first day that she did my makeup I knew we would be friends. She is fun and easy to talk to especially when I am feeling stressed out. Even when I have those days that my face is looking like a battlefield and I literally don’t know how she is going to make me look like a normal girl but she manages to make me look and feel incredible.
And here’s the two trouble makers when they steal my phone and start taking selfies.. Always having fun!
We get to relax for a very short time in the “starbar” . I get to eat as many snacks as I want and have unlimited amounts of coffee. Heaven!!I feel right at home. I have my comfy robe, slippers and my hubby right next to me. Just perfect.
Here we are having a quick “Pudsey” selfie for Children In Need. I love Pudsey. I want to be best friends forever. Kevin looks great in his Pudsey ears.
Some people say that “I’m as mad as a box of frogs”. No frogs in the box this time only me and no.. I wasn’t being naughty. I had to start inside a box for our Professional group dance. The funny thing is that I was a bit scared of being in the dark and I’m a tiny bit claustrophobic. So, the amazing prop guys lovingly put a light inside the box and a couple of bags of sweets for me to snack on and keep calm! Sold!
And here I am again in another box. Don’t ask.. I’m just weird..
Once we get home kevin and I relax from our very long hectic super glitzy/glam weekend. He turns the telly on and watches football. I let my hair down and look like I’ve been “struck by lighting”. Wait.. I’ve heard that somewhere….
