My very busy summer…
Hey Guys, I hope your all enjoying the wonderful British Summertime.
Recently I have been very busy….
Cannes Film festival is always a highlight of the fashion calendar, as the A list decent on the Cote D’Azur to attend some of the most glamourous parties in the World. AmfAR is one of the most exclusive invitations. I was thrilled to dress one of my favourite models and friend, Bella Hadid for this. Bella looked effortlessly chic in my white knit gown dusted with delicate Swarovski crystals as she posed for pictures with all her famous friends, which I also happen to dress, it was like a scene from Julien’s Angels LOL.
Back in London, Hailee Steinfeld made a surprise appearance at the Capital FM Summer Ball and looked sensational wearing two looks from my men’s collection. Firstly, she rocked my heavily embellished studded bomber jacket with embellished motifs and later strutted around the stage in my heavy sports luxe sweater paired with knee high boots. Hailee certainly knows how to work the boyfriend look, she was later seen across the pond in Canada dressed in my gun mental sequin vest and tailored trousers. I think she looked absolutely incredible and I am a huge fan. Thank-you to the dream team Rob and Mariel @robzangardi one of Hollywood’s most sort after and influential stylist’s teams.
Being one of Graduate Fashion Weeks Global Ambassador’s I was more than happy to support the charity in June. It’s an amazing organisation which showcases the work of over 1000 of the most talented students and graduates from the most inspiring Universities around the world. It has helped launch careers of some of the industry’s best, including myself! I was honoured to be invited to take part in a Q&A hosted by the infamous Hilary Alexander OBE and got a chance to speak to some of the students.
One of the wonderful things I love about my job is I never know what I am going to be doing the next day. Who would have thought I would have been woken up by a phone call from one of the most famous artists in the world, the one and only Miss Celine Dion, saying she will be wearing a selection of my clothes for her current world-wide stadium Tour. She looked fabulous in my Knit fringe body suit, as she sang her classic hits on the stage at the 02 Arena, in London. For anyone who has not seen her in concert, it’s one of those amazing experienced you will never forget.
At the end of June, I attended the Style Awards in association with Chopard, where I was presented with Womenswear Designer of the Year Award. I had a fabulous time at the event with pals including Melissa Odabash, Professor Green and Jacey Elthalion and I also managed to catch up with my old friend Dame Shirley Bassey.
That’s it from me for now. Enjoy the summer and I look forward to catching-up soon.
