The Olsen Twins: what would Fashion be without them!? Beautiful young girls, to-die-for clothes, remarkable styling AND acute business minds- (probably the most IMPORTANT fashion accessory in my opinion- business minded girls go out and make enough moolah to adorn themselves in lovely luxury clothes!) I guess I spend an excessive amount of time coveting just about EVERYTHING Mary-Kate & Ashley wear (and now their little sister is on the scene too! God, I’ll have NO free time between stalking all 3 of these girls!) But with a love of fashion comes a craving for inspiration, and damn the Olsen sisters ALWAYS deliver. Amen to the style twins!
On Thursday 8th of September, fashion glittered on a global level. Some friends and I ambled down Avenue Montaigne in Paris to see what “Fashion’s Night Out” was all about. We arrived late, didn’t stay long, but from champagne at Prada to Chrome Heart’s delicious Rock & Roll singer (pictured above), I’d safely say our sartorial whims were indulged. The crowds of people were a tribute to style themselves, in fact, it was practically impossible to spot a single “unattractive” or “unstylish” individual. And so our night ended at Pub Saint Germain where over drinks we quietly coveted about a million luxury goods (or maybe it was just me thinking about all the Prada bags and furs!)
I’ve been on vacay in North Cyprus with my boyfriend and his family (hence the absence, but I’m back and ready to B-L-O-G). Thought I’d show you a summer summary of what I was wearing: alot of bright colours, simple accessories & mostly, my favourite sunglasses: my Frassy Spheres! There is nothing quite like a tan- its is by far the best fashion asset. Now that I am back in Paris (and its cloudy, boo) I am craving the rays, the beach and how deliciously different diet coke tastes in hot countries.
I came across this photo of Shenae Grimes (most famous for her role in TV Series, 90210) and was instantly inspired by what I can only call a truly vintage ensemble. This is an outfit that is easily achievable and super cheap- head to your local Salvation Army or Vintage Shop: where maxi skirts and old lady blouses are faithfully abundant. I transformed an old blouse by chopping off the sleeves, making it into a tank. The skirt, I found in a vintage shop: but when re-creating this look- stay open-minded when it comes to print and pattern. If you can, go as outrageous as possible- you can always balance out a crazy print with a more neutral coloured tank.
Today marks a new blogging outlet for me and a collaboration I am excited about: this is my official space on Hello Magazine, where I will be indulging in my life’s big love: FASHION. Now, I guess you could address this blog as the sister or best friend to my personal style site, Frassy - my alter-ego who wants to share not only her individuality but also large doses of the deliciously decadent celebrity style world. So here, I will be showcasing some of my own outfits but also, the outfits of some of the world’s most famous faces. I suppose this is a blog about INSPIRATION, so ride the wave and get on board - this is going to be a big daily explosion of glitter, glitter, fashion fun!
