Homemade Frozen Foods Part 1 ‘Rice’

I have a restaurant, a cooking class and am writing a cookbook… pretty busy and I am very lazy.
But, I have children so have to make food everyday.
I am not perfect! But I love food so I will show you some of my frozen food techniques.
I am not strict about food but I try to give my children home made dishes.

How to rice freeze

In Japan, freezing rice is very common because a lot of people eat rice everyday.

Young people especially like to cook a lot of rice at once and then separate it into many dishes and freeze.

If you are coming back home late or just feeling lazy then this will be very useful!

1. Cook the rice as usual.

2. Wrap an individual portion of rice in cling-film. Do this for all of the rice you have cooked.

3. Put the cling-film wrapped rice packets into the freezer.

4. Some time later, take out the wrapped rice and just put the whole thing in the microwave for about 4 minutes or until it is hot all the way through. Also, you can use within a month.
