BATFA filming, This Morning and foxy girls Gemma Cairney and Georgia LA
BATFA filming, This Morning fashion frolics, the launch of a new show with Gemma Cairney and Ollie Locke and plenty of laughter, pretty much sums up my week.
On Tuesday’s This Morning our new fashion game show ‚ÄėPrice Tag‚Äô had its second outing and we gave away over ¬£500 to one lucky viewer. Not bad for a few minutes work, eh! With London Fashion Week fast approaching, the fashion team is in full planning mode and we’ve got some exciting items coming up on the show around LFW. Watch this space‚Ķ
Work aside, on Thursday evening I went along to support the very fabulous Gemma Cairney and Georgia LA for the launch of their new online show The Fox Problem powered by HP – www.thefoxproblem.com. The girls looked very foxy indeed. Not heard of the show yet? Well as Gemma aptly puts it, “Think of your favourite TV shows from the 90′s – TFI Friday, The Word, The Girly Show, The Big Breakfast‚Ķ. and mash them all up into one show for 2014, fronted by an all female presenting team.” Ollie Locke, straight out of the CBB house, adds some testosterone to the mix as The Fox Problem’s resident bar man celebrity interviewer.
The story of how it all came about is quite inspiring and a tribute to what brilliant girls they are. Basically they came up with this great idea for a show and so started pitching it to several TV channels. But despite their enthusiasm, no channel was prepared to back them. Determined to make it happen, the girls self‚Äďfunded (I’m talking rent money here) the first series which aired last year. Such was the success, some sponsors have come on board making the second series possible. Now that’s what I call determination and belief in an idea – two traits I love!
It was a quiet night for me though as I was up bright and early on Friday morning, headed for BAFTA HQ. I was filming the BBC3 pre-BAFTA show where amongst other things I shared some of my favourite movie moments of 2013 (Brad Pitt in World War Z anyone?). It should be a good show and features the likes of Emma Thompson, Colin Farrell, John Hurt and Erin O’Connor in the line up.
This week I’ve been swooning over these Vivienne Westwood shoes. Delicious or what?!
