I’m really not a fan of Halloween but now that Ace is a little older, he’s picked up on others who celebrate it and has been asking me all about it. Instead of following the Halloween tradition, we took another visit to Willows Activity Farm as all half term week they had been hosting a Pumpkin Festival! J and I thought this was a brilliant idea. We arrived and were told to go into the fields to collect our own pumpkin that had been grown on the farm. On the way, there were signs explaining how pumpkins grow and lots of different educational information for the children and parents. After a very careful, 3-year-old selection process, Ace finally found the perfect pumpkin!
We then walked our pumpkin to the arts & crafts tent, where we had to take all the seeds and insides out. Once that was done we could then start carving it! Well, that wasn’t easy at ALL! I didn’t realise how hard it was to carve a pumpkin, as I’ve never had to do it before! Ace wanted to do a rabbit face because Willows is the home of Peter Rabbit and we tried to do the best we could between the three of us!! It was a great day and a fun way to teach children about pumpkins in a non-scary way!
My best friend, Fleur, turned 30 this week; the BIG 3-0!! It’s crazy how time goes so quickly. I remember meeting Fleur for the first time, as if it was yesterday. I was 19 years old and she was 20. We were auditioning for a girl band called ‘Brown Sugar’ and in the audition room, I walk right up to her and say: “I only want to be in this group if you’re in it and I just know, we are going to be best friends!!”. Very forward, I know but she just laughed it off. Have you ever had that immediate connection with someone and know they will become an excellent friend? Well, we were both selected into the group and our friendship from that day has never ended! She was a bridesmaid at my wedding and is also Ace’s Godmother!
Speaking of Fleur, she has just announced an exciting new project she’s been working on for months, called the W8 Gym. When she began explaining it to me, I honestly thought it was absolutely genius, especially for people who are too busy to go to the gym due to family or work commitments. It brings the gym to you and you can do over 200 exercises with it!
I called Fleur to ask her a bit about it and this is what she said:
“I’ve always been so passionate about fitness and it is a huge part of my lifestyle. I was eager to launch W8 GYM because a lot of my girlfriends wanted to get fit and always came to me for advice (Chloe was one of those friends!). The majority of them didn’t like the gym, lacked motivation and didn’t have the money to spend on a Personal Trainer or simply didn’t have the time to fit exercise into their daily routine. That’s why the W8 GYM is a perfect solution to all those problems. It’s a gym in a box you can train with anywhere and get a full, body workout. I’ve lived with it and trained with it for almost a year and it really works! It looks good, it’s compact and it gets you results.”
You literally get everything in one box and it’s easy to carry around with you, if necessary!
I’ve just pre-ordered mine on an early bird special price of £99.00 – before they’re officially available because I just LOOOVE a discount! I’m really looking forward to using it too!! For more information and to Pre-order your own W8 GYM now, visit www.w8gym.com.
Half term is finally coming to a close, the clocks have gone back and it feels like winter already. I’m making the most of writing my blog outside, as it will be too cold to do it soon. Today I have some of Ace’s friends from school over, enjoying the farm and this is what I see when I look up from my makeshift office – isn’t this just the cutest picture!
Since when did my little baby become such a big boy?! He’s going to be a teenager before I know it!
I hope you all have a lovely week.
Lots of Love,
