Merry Must Haves For Your Home
Now that the weather is finally changing and getting colder and that Christmas is only a matter of weeks away, I have been zipping around the high street and small second hand shops looking for quirky, cost effective ways to make your home cosy, inviting, glamorous and ready for the on coming festive season. All of the below also make great Christmas gifts too!
As I am a fan of glamorous pieces, I have sought after the kind of interior objets d’art that really look fantastic but don’t break the bank.
Remember that it is often how you put things together that make a difference, not only what you buy for your home. It is so easy to get it wrong, for instance, don’t buy lots of picture frames and then put them all together on one shelf, or buy 2 or 3 throws and put them all on the same chair or sofa. An eclectic mix works so much better, so mix up your items, don’t be afraid to try different combinations together. You will be surprised at how interesting a shelf can look if you mix old and new, tall and small, different textures that you would never think could look so good together.
Here are a few of my favourite finds for this Christmas period
This is a great shop for quirky bits at Christmas but especially look out for interesting picture frames here of all shapes and sizes such as these on display around this living room I recently designed
Get your favourite books for the coffee table. I love fashion books as they generally have a lot of lovely photography in them which can not only be an interesting item to have on your coffee table, but can be a great accessory to work with. There are so many on the market so look around and see which ones might compliment your colour scheme, and go for large, impact is King!
Always a favourite of mine, to get that glamorous look. Zara home sell great accessories for even greater prices. They have it really right when it comes to small boxes for the table, or glamorous vases for your sideboard

For those who know my style, you will also know about my love for candles. Sandy Bay London make beautiful smelling candles, made in the UK with the most stylish packaging I know! There are so many different fragrances to choose from, and all this seasons are top of my list!
Throws and cushions with faux fur are really in this season, and with the lovely cool tones they come in, they look super thrown over your sofa , armchair, or bed and have a practical use on those cold dark nights ahead, so have a look in Next as they have a great selection.
