During my time in Asturias, I have discovered so many more new places that I have been dying to tell you about.
In regards to food and drink, you cannot put a foot wrong wherever you go– the food and bars across the region are absolutely phenomenal. This time I have been to La Taberna del Zurdo, Bocamar and Casa Conrado.
In recent visits I have also taken the opportunity to travel to rural areas just outside of Oviedo. I love going out of town and take long walks with my nephews through the beautiful green meadows. Because I am so used to living in Extremadura, one of driest zones of Spain, I find the sea breeze and the natural world just that bit more attractive when I venture up north.
During the walk, we arrived at a cliff, and decided to take a rest stop on the grass. Facing the sea, I took the opportunity to read the book that I had brought, “Rules of Civility” by Amor Towles. The book is all about life in New York during the thirties, and I’m super hooked!
Today I’m wearing boots from It Shoes, jeans from Lío de Faldas, and a jersey from La Fee Maraboutee that I bought in AB Oviedo and necklace and earrings from Estrella de Emebe. My handbag is from Spanish and Sisters and I use it to carry books, my iPad, etc. Finally, my shawl is from American Vintage, selected from the range in Cool The Sack.
