On my trip to LA, I was lucky enough to be invited on a guided viewing of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art
Designed by Renzo Piano, Lacma is the biggest art museum in western USA. As many of you will have noticed, I am an art aficionado and in my free time I love going to exhibitions, galleries and auctions. On this occasion I had great company in the director of the museum and a group of friends.
The scaletrix by Chris Burden is called Metropolis II. The cars, numbering around 100,000, don’t stop, thanks to some magnets.
Urban light, featuring 202 restored street lights, is by the same artist.
Sculpture on the floor by Walter de Maria is The 2000 Sculpture.
Ed Ruscha’s Exhibition is entitled Standard.
The rock is an art piece called Levitated Mass by Michael Heizer.
All the pictures were taken with my iPhone. I’m new to it, but you can be my guests on my trips around the world with INSTAGRAM – My username is itseusilva – and of course, Twitter.
