Chart topping, Grammy Award nominated,All About That Bass singer, Meghan Trainor thinks that my face is symmetrical. How do I know? Because she told me so when we met at the Mondrian London for a chat this week. I was interviewing her for a TV show on ITV2 called The Hot Desk and Trainor revealed all about what it’s like to be a global superstar, her favourite song and working with Harry Styles. She was genuinely lovely, and also completely bonkers (which I love) as she names the “good and bad” sides of her face. (FYI, her good side is called Jessica and her bad is Cassandra). I don’t know what she’s harping on about though, both sides of her face look good to me. Tune into ITV2 this Sunday at 11:20am to find out everything else we chatted about and of course, that Bass.
I joined Dizzie Rascal, Tom Odell, Eliza Doodlittle and Annie Mac at the BBC Studios in London this week, to attend a party hosted by Mark Ronson. It was to celebrate the launch of his brand new album, Uptown Special and I certainly got my Uptown Funk on. The event was sponsored by Skincare genius’s Kiehl’s who gave me a pre-party pamper kit so I arrived feeling fresh as! Thank blooming goodness I was fresh as things got sweaty in there when Ronson did his thang on the decks playing funk, soul, grime and hip-hop music mixed with his own smash hits. It just so happened that I’d learnt a dance routine toUptown Funk with SOS Fitness Dance the week before http://blog-static.hellomagazine.com/ajodudu/2015/01/19/fun-fitness/ so naturally it took all of strength to refrain from bursting into my routine when he played that track. Pat on the back to me for keeping it cool.
If you’re feeling the January blues or you’ve not quite made it to the gym but feeling like you should, then pop over to my YouTube channel where I show you how to work up a sweat in your living room with great workouts for lean legs, flat abs, meal ideas and fun fitness challenges to keep all motivated as we creep towards the end of January. If you do fancy venturing out though, try this for size. I pitched up at London Brunch Club, a running crew that meet weekly to traverse London Town and end it with a good Sunday brunch. We took in the sites and racked up an impressive 12 miles at the same time. I’m definitely up for doing that again as it combines exercise, food and a good old natter. Three of my favourite things.
As always tune into my Hoxton Radio show from 2pm today where you can listen to more on the above, great tunes and my dulcet tones for 2 hours. See you there!

What a super fun year 2015 was. Through my work as a TV Presenter and as a DJ at various shows and events, I got to meet some of my celebrity faves! I won’t forget the moment I met Queen Kardashian or the time I joked around and took selfies with Emma Thompson. I enjoyed dining with Kim Cattrall and who’d have thought that I’d have met 12 Years A Slave star, Chiwetel Ejiofor in Barbie world? It’s a funny old life but hello 2015.
Oh yes, it’s that time of year when Christmas is a fading memory and all you’ve got left to show for it is an empty wallet, a bigger belly and the remnants of a stinking hangover. It’s back to the office and time for that annual detox and time again, to reinvent yourself…or is that just me?
As you may have gathered from previous blog posts, in my spare time fitness plays a huge role in my life, so much so that I’ve recently become a qualified personal trainer and sports nutritionist. I mean hey, why not? (Also on my list of things to become are a cheerleader, astronaut, BFFs with Beyonce Knowles and a dog whisper). Dream big!
This year I’m kicking off 2015 by trying something a little different. The aim is to keep myself motivated and fit but more importantly, to inspire others to do the same. So for the month of January I’m showing daily videos on all things fitness over on my YouTube channel.
This will include, diet and workout tips, weight loss advice and ideas on what to wear when getting sweaty. Whether you’re taking your first steps to lead a healthier lifestyle or if you’re a well seasoned gymaholic, there’ll be something for everyone. And while I’m at it, if you’re looking for some funky gymwear to get you in the active mood whilst treating yourself at the same time, then check out my video below.
Here we go!
