Interviewing Nick Jonas for ITV2

This week I returned to Mondrain London to present ITV2’s music entertainment show The Hot Desk. Previously for the show, I’ve interviewed chart-topping, Grammy award winning Meghan Trainor and former X Factor starlet and Brit Award-nominated Ella Henderson. This week it was the turn of American actor and singer Nick Jonas.
One third of pop band The Jonas Brothers, Nick’s now a solo artist and is back with a brand new album and already has his single Jealous in the official UK top 10 charts. I went to chat to him all about that and much more.
Gushing about the overwhelming support he’s had for his single Jealous from fans and mega star Rihanna, sharing his disappointment in no longer being able to tour with Iggy Azalea this spring and chatting about his love for Stevie Wonder, Nick Jonas was ever so charming.
I challenged him to flex his stuff and even had an arm wrestle with him. You can find out who won that arm wrestle and much more on ITV2 in June. Keep an eye on my YouTube channel (AJOdudu) for some exclusive behind the scenes footage.
Needless to say I definitely played Nick’s music on my Hoxton Radio chart show on Monday. From 2 to 4pm I shared my quick and easy fit tips, three 90s hits which are so NOW, counted down the top 10 singles chart and of course, shared even more gossip from my shoot with Nick Jonas.
In other news I’m excited to announce that I’ve partnered with the wonderful charity Cancer Research for their Race for Life series, where I’ll be taking part in their Pretty Muddy run, this 13 June.
Over this 5K trail, I’m envisioning a muddy obstacle course where women of any ability can run, walk, climb or crawl to the finish line, all the while dressed in Race for Life’s signature colour pink, making it the prettiest event ever! Better still, it’s for a fantastic cause, Cancer Research.
Over on my website ajodudu.com I’ll be sharing my entire training programme from start to finish, showing you my step by step guide of my nutrition and food regime too. This will certainly keep me on track but hopefully, inspire you to join me too.
If you’re already up for the challenge, join me on 13 June in London for Pretty Muddy. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy then there’s a whole host of activities taking place across the country, including UK’s first ever female only marathon.
I have a reader discount code which can be applied to any of the 300 Race for Life events taking place this  year so get involved.

Goofing around behind the scenes with Nike

Oh what a wonderful Easter. I’m writing this as I travel back from Lancashire to London, having spent a fantastic weekend with my enormous family and eaten my weight in chocolate. I succumbed to the allure of at least ten Easter eggs – I’m only human! I ate far more than I wish to admit so it’s a good job that my photoshoot with Nike was just before the bank holiday.
Yep, I spent Thursday behaving like an AJ-shaped poser as I flexed my muscles for an exclusive Nike Running campaign in East London. I had such a laugh modelling their new summer running range and apart from fooling around, flicking my hair and striking every pose in the book, there were other perks too! I got to hang out with a team of strong, inspiring women all day, work with photographers I’ve wanted to work with for yonks and wear some of the best active wear, most of which has not even hit the shops yet. Naturally, for a fitness shoot it was all, “Lights, camera annnd run” which is right up my street. I’m excited to see the final images. Here’s a sneak peak from behind the scenes.
Keeping it fit, I was lucky enough to host two very special guests on my Hoxton Radio chart show. Faya Nilson, founder and writer of UK’s award-winning fitness blog, Fitnessontoast.com and one of London’s leading nutritionists, Dr Michelle Storfer. We chatted all about their brand new e-book The Four Week Fitness & Food Effect which is a comprehensive 28-day diet and exercise plan. Their four-week programme can be done in the comfort of your own home and is fun, varied and challenging too. Suitable for beginners or the experienced, I have to say it’s come just in time to work off the chocolate before it settles on my midrift.
You can download The Four Week Fitness & Food Effect e-book directly from Fitnessontoast.com and listen back to my Hoxton Radio show featuring those two lovelies at hoxtonradio.com.
Until next time, tarrah.
