My Meet Up with Meghan Trainor & Mark Ronson

Chart topping, Grammy Award nominated,All About That Bass singer, Meghan Trainor thinks that my face is symmetrical. How do I know? Because she told me so when we met at the Mondrian London for a chat this week. I was interviewing her for a TV show on ITV2 called The Hot Desk and Trainor revealed all about what it’s like to be a global superstar, her favourite song and working with Harry Styles. She was genuinely lovely, and also completely bonkers (which I love) as she names the “good and bad” sides of her face. (FYI, her good side is called Jessica and her bad is Cassandra). I don’t know what she’s harping on about though, both sides of her face look good to me. Tune into ITV2 this Sunday at 11:20am to find out everything else we chatted about and of course, that Bass.

I joined Dizzie Rascal, Tom Odell, Eliza Doodlittle and Annie Mac at the BBC Studios in London this week, to attend a party hosted by Mark Ronson. It was to celebrate the launch of his brand new album, Uptown Special and I certainly got my Uptown Funk on. The event was sponsored by Skincare genius’s Kiehl’s who gave me a pre-party pamper kit so I arrived feeling fresh as! Thank blooming goodness I was fresh as things got sweaty in there when Ronson did his thang on the decks playing funk, soul, grime and hip-hop music mixed with his own smash hits. It just so happened that I’d learnt a dance routine toUptown Funk with SOS Fitness Dance the week before http://blog-static.hellomagazine.com/ajodudu/2015/01/19/fun-fitness/ so naturally it took all of strength to refrain from bursting into my routine when he played that track. Pat on the back to me for keeping it cool.

If you’re feeling the January blues or you’ve not quite made it to the gym but feeling like you should, then pop over to my YouTube channel where I show you how to work up a sweat in your living room with great workouts for lean legs, flat abs, meal ideas and fun fitness challenges to keep all motivated as we creep towards the end of January. If you do fancy venturing out though, try this for size. I pitched up at London Brunch Club, a running crew that meet weekly to traverse London Town and end it with a good Sunday brunch. We took in the sites and racked up an impressive 12 miles at the same time. I’m definitely up for doing that again as it combines exercise, food and a good old natter. Three of my favourite things.

As always tune into my Hoxton Radio show from 2pm today where you can listen to more on the above, great tunes and my dulcet tones for 2 hours. See you there!
