Meeting Elizabeth Hurley and Emma Thompson at Kensington Palace

I went to Kensington Palace to celebrate the launch of Estee Lauder’s We’re Stronger Together campaign this week. Heart warming and inspiring stories were shared from those affected by breast cancer – survivors, sufferers and family and friends alike. It was a glitzy way to kick off such a noteworthy event in our calendars; Breast Cancer Awareness month. To raise awareness the event was hosted by Liz Hurley and attended by big names, including Emma Thompson, an advocate of the campaign and an absolute hoot.

I ran my socks off yesterday at London’s Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon. I ran for Tommy’s Charity, which supports families with pregnancy complications and 1 hour 37 minutes of me pretending to be Forrest Gump left me feeling exhausted but really happy. I was so proud of myself and the 16,000 people who took part for great causes. The crowd support was overwhelmingly brilliant too.
My highlights include;
- running past Ellie Goulding, Jo Whiley, Katie Piper, Buckingham Palace and the Big Ben. All beauties;
- the VIP tent buffet where there was a mountain of cheese and crackers, chocolate brownies and an endless supply of tea and coffee;
- and finally the finish line porta loos. I thought I was going to do a Paula Radcliffe at several (awful) points so at the finish line I dived right in there. I’ve never been so happy to see a bog! Too much information?! Too late.
Until next week, tarrah!

  1. what a wonderful thing to do for such a cause as breast cancer has affect so many people, and all those who participated are winners of this event as they don’t run just for fun, I pray that some day they found a remedy for this horrible decease that has taking the life’s of so many people.
