Celeb parties, LFW and the end of BB
Hey Hello Readers,
Next week I’ll be hopping from one runway to the next as fashion month continues but until then, let me tell you all about the week that’s just been. I’m talking celebrities, fitness, frocks and parties as you enter a week in the life of me.
I went to the star-studded MTV ‘Staying Alive’ party this week, which was run by a charity who were raising awareness of HIV. At the party I a) saw the original Sugababes (now called ‘MKS’) perform, b) hung out with Vanessa White of The Saturdays fame (who officially wins the award for being Pop’s Shortest, Cutest Singer – y’know, if that was an actual award) and c) taxied home with the Lawson boys (fear not, we went our separate ways and split the taxi fare).
London Fashion Week
Another highlight of my week was Fearne Cotton’s fashion show for her Very range. I recycled the outfit I wore on Big Brother (don’t worry, I washed it first), but was put to shame by Fearne who had not one, but two outfit changes! Cotton by name, cotton by nature (well, except that one outfit was silk, but you get my gist). She looked stunning in both. There were celebs everywhere, too: Dionne Bromfield, Wretch 32, Stooshe, McFly… and then little ol’ me! It really was great fun and the collection was VERY lovely (geddit? Took me all day to come up with that).
Witness the (fake) Fitness
I’ve been getting quite a lot of compliments on Twitter regarding my ‘toned arms’ recently. I’m honestly flattered but I must confess, it’s all an illusion. My arms are naturally quite long anyway which I think gives the impression that they’re more toned than they are since the fat and muscle are spread out over a large surface area. Really! If you don’t have arms like poles, then below are my quick daily fixes.
It’s over. The dream is over! No more civilian or celebrity housemates in the BB compound. If you tuned in to watch the finale, then you’ll have seen all the housemates reunited for one last time. For me, the highlights included Rustie Lee singing The Prodigy, getting on stage with the reformed pop legends 5ive and, of course, the Geordie Shore/bed-wetting (not sure which she’s most famous for?!) Charlotte being crowned as winner! It really was all a bit emotional, though. The BB production team have felt like my extended family these past few months and I’m going to miss them loads (not quite sure they’ll miss me though – I left my dressing room in quite a state). I gave Rylan and Emma Willis one long and slow hug goodbye. I think it lasted a full two minutes. In retrospect, it was a bit of an awkward thing to do because I’ll be seeing them at the wrap party very soon!
In other news, I went to a fancy dress fashion party where I took over the dance floor and invented a dance routine with my friends. People kept on commenting on how great my fancy dress outfit was but unfortunately, I hadn’t actually dressed up, so that was… just great.
‘Til next time, comrades!
