The Face Edit With Estee Lauder, Kiehl’s and Jurlique

In this hot weather, I’m keeping makeup to a minimum.

Kiehl’s Deep Moisture Clarifying Crème – £41
As the sun can make skin discolouration and hyperpigmentation worse, I’ve been wearing Kiehl’s Deep Moisture Clarifying Crème. The latest addition to Kiehl’s skin-clarifying product range, this cream helps improve the appearance of dark spots and discolorations. It contains white birch and peony extract to hydrate and help provide long-term radiance. It was formulated with Asian skins in mind but I think it works just as well on brown skins. Wear daily to help improve skin clarity.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Cheek Rush – £24
These cute pots of cheek stain are a great way to add a subtle hint of colour to the face. They give you a lightweight, natural, fresh finish and in this weather, won’t sit on your face and melt into your lap. Creative Makeup Director for Estée Lauder, Tom Pecheux said: “This season, I’ve been working a lot with what I call “aqua colour”.
It’s a gentle, watery look with just a touch of bright, vibrant colour.” I tried the Cheek Rush in Turbo Jam and loved the watery gel finish and the way it complimented my skin tone. Estee Lauder advises quickly blending a tiny drop of this silky liquid-gel in a circular motion on to the apples of cheeks for a ‘just pinched’ look. Worked for me!

Jurlique Deluxe Edition Rosewater Balancing Mist – £41
In hot weather, facial mists were a must and my favourite was the Jurlique Deluxe Edition Rosewater Balancing Mist. Exclusive to M&S Your Beauty stores this lightweight mist provides a wonderfully refreshing shot of precious Rose flower extracts and plant botanicals to help hydrate the skin. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this product go to the Jurlique Ideas of Beauty Fund which supports beautiful ideas that empower and educate women globally. I spritz myself before bed, before applying make up; I even lug it around to my bag to stay fresh when I’m out and about. It may not be hot anymore but central heating is not our skin’s friend.
